There was lots of space and it was great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer while traveling with kids. The service from the person who helped us check in was helpful as well. It was cold in the apartment the first couple days. One bath is located across the apartment from the bedroom wing. Being on the second floor has different meanings in diverse countries. It should be noted that there are 58 steps to get to the door of the apartment. Otherwise, the apartment is wonderful, historic, very roomy, and well-equipped. The apartment is beautiful and centrally located on a fairly quiet street in the middle of Lucca. Fantastic restaurants and cafes are a short walk (2-3 minutes) away. There are two large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom, all of which have individual air conditioning units. The apartment has a full kitchen, with stove, oven, microwave, pots and pans, and utensils.
