Lovely stay with very helpful staff

Lovely little inn. Good food. Nice rooms. Good home cooking for breakfast.

Ashley was the best host. Very professional. We would definitely recommend Ashley and his lovely assistant Lisa, very accommodating and nothing too much trouble. We shall be staying there again. The breakfast is to die for, locally sourced and delicious. You could not ask for more it was all provided and presented with love. Everything about this hotel was 5*, the staff, the location and attention to detail. Go on give it a go, you will not regret it. Thanks Ashley, Lisa and not forgetting...

I was hoping that this hotel was out of the town and was a little concerned when I saw the location was in the suburbs of Halifax however was pleasantly surprised at the peace and lack of noise both traffic and neighbourly. It was the best night's sleep i've had in a hotel lovely comfy bed and the cleanliness 10 out of 10. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food very good . I really couldn't fault this hotel.

Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear...

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. Pleasant one night stay. Good food, helpful staff. Ideal location for visiting Holmfirth town and the vineyard.

We arrived to stay overnight at this very well presented hotel lovely and comfortable accommodation with a bar facility and 24 hr reception , Breakfast was served professionally and with quality food. Bonus for my family is the hotel is situated close by to our relatives in ELLAND ,HALIFAX ,so we will be staying again very soon , Hotel staff keep up the good work Very enjoyable stay

It is a great hotel in a central location within walking distance of all local attractions. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent.

hotel was lovely and clean, staff friendly and helpful apart from a grumpy guy on reception whilst checking out who i avoided dealing with....everything else was great .
