Ashley was the best host. Very professional. We would definitely recommend Ashley and his lovely assistant Lisa, very accommodating and nothing too much trouble. We shall be staying there again. The breakfast is to die for, locally sourced and delicious. You could not ask for more it was all provided and presented with love. Everything about this hotel was 5*, the staff, the location and attention to detail. Go on give it a go, you will not regret it. Thanks Ashley, Lisa and not forgetting...

I was hoping that this hotel was out of the town and was a little concerned when I saw the location was in the suburbs of Halifax however was pleasantly surprised at the peace and lack of noise both traffic and neighbourly. It was the best night's sleep i've had in a hotel lovely comfy bed and the cleanliness 10 out of 10. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food very good . I really couldn't fault this hotel.

hotel was lovely and clean, staff friendly and helpful apart from a grumpy guy on reception whilst checking out who i avoided dealing with....everything else was great .

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. Really warm friendly welcome. Very pretty hotel, lovely restaurant and comfortable beds.

Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear...

Pleasant one night stay. Good food, helpful staff. Ideal location for visiting Holmfirth town and the vineyard.

Super staff, very good location and parking facilities, clean a quiet, nice restaurant and the separate pub, and a very good value for the price I paid. I really can’t think of anything I did not like. I would go back for sure. More of the same please.
