The room also had nothing more than two hand towels, which was a bit confusing and made showering difficult. The beds were also very uncomfortable - one seemed to be missing springs in one spot, while the other felt like it had springs poking through. The staff were quite friendly, and definitely a bright spot, though the reception desk was often unattended. However, most importantly, my partner also woke up with itchy eyes which developed into pink eye by the end of the day. I can't be certain that it was the hotel pillowcases, but it's the only explanation we can come up with. It combines the very best of Greek resort life a mere 80some km from Athens. Breakfast is not included but is well priced and is served on a cozy veranda facing the sea. The quay is nearby, as is the beach, but not right in front of the hotel so there isn’t that continuous din and noise from all the busy seaside cafes and restaurants. The other side of the hotel faces Loutraki’s “Main Street” and its (modern) spa for thermal baths. The stuff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very nice .
