By looking at other people's reviews, it appears that we are not the only travelers to have our booking cancelled by Hotel Vacanceole without notice. Concerned by an email we received, we called our travel agent twice to confirm that our booking was still valid - and were reassured both times that the Hotel said the room was still available. "Reg and sue great hosts. Loved the room, great bed and bed linen which made for a very comfortable nights sleep. Extremely quiet as well. Breakfast was a joy with the other guests sharing their travel stories and sue providing brilliant service and oodles of good food and coffee. "

"Do not recommend for non-Spanish speakers. The hosts are lovely and the hotel is nice and clean, but communication for English speakers is tricky. Maybe if you speak French or Italian it could also work, but just FYI, none of the staff speak a word of English. But it’s pretty much like that in the entire Val d’Aran."
