The Sea Spite has been an iconic property for decades. The current iteration is much more upscale and comfortable (air conditioning). I like the new Sea Sprite more than the former iteration.

We loved this charming newly renovated hotel. First off its prime location steps from the beach. You must valet since there is not where to park, which was actually very convenient. Loved the outdoor indoor vibe. When you first go in your in the restaurant with a little Conner for the check in desk. So you’re already feeling a fun party vibe. Gorgeous views all around. Loved our family suit. You do have to climb steps. Not to many. Not to handicap friendly since the small lift was out of order. We stayed to eat pre dinner and breakfast the next day cause why not. They had the best views and the food was delicious!! Staff were so friendly and had great customer service. Would definitely stay again.

The good: You’re paying for the location, in an amazing spot for sure, close to bars and shops. Most staff are polite and it has a nice bar. The bad: For almost $500 per night I found it poor to have loose and broken tiles in the bathroom, broken toilet amenities and poorly maintained window shutters that don’t close properly. The bedding needs to be replaced as my pillows smelt old.

Enjoyed the clean room and great air conditioning. Perfect location to the beach. No elevator and had to carry luggage up and downstairs. $50 a night for parking. Restaurant was beautiful but had poor service. Staff was nice but getting beach amenities was awkward because you have to ask what they have, give them a card, ask to get a card back, etc.

Arriving at the Sea Sprite was everything I was hoping for. I was looking for a cool hotel on the beach, at the center of the action in Hermosa, with an in-house restaurant and beautiful rooms. I got that all. Arrival was managed by Anne, who was truly an exceptional and friendly host. I walked into a bustling brunch restaurant at Surfer Girl. People running by on the beach just a few feet away. Volleyball games going on. The rooms were well appointed, very nice furniture and decor, cute snacks and drinks, clean, well maintained, beautiful views. My only complaint was that my AC made funny noises. Highly recommend.
