Beautiful Zen Spa Retreat in Venice Beach California- "A Rare Gem!"

Serene Japanese modern home. This peaceful, green residence runs off of its own solar energy and is a true expression of California indoor-outdoor living. The spa environment includes a hot tub (with ozone sanitation & always ready and hot), zero gravity chair, waterfalls and gorgeous gardens surrounded by secluded wall in the heart of Venice. This tranquil home includes a deep soaking tub as well as a comfortable media room which can be converted into another bedroom if needed. The large kitchen is well appointed with modern appliances including a wine refrigerator. Exquisite outdoor gardens include mangaris decks, a large gas grill , gas fire pit, teak dining table with umbrella, and an intimate meditation area.
Escape from the hustle and bustle of your busy life while biking to the beach, Abbot Kinney Shopping and Whole Foods Market just minutes away. Your stay will include free high speed wifi and Smart TV's set up for streaming with some select streaming channels.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the emergency situation with the fires in Los Angeles County at the present time we are unable to have instant bookings and all applicants will need to fill out a lease agreement prior to renting our home.We have changed our booking minimum to one year in order to make housing available to those who have tragically lost their homes. It will be necessary for all applicants to sign an application and lease agreement.

We have also been experiencing intermittent power outages and low air quality and although air purifiers are provided we cannot guarantee the quality of the air at this time.

Great little rental

Very cute rental! It was unique and comfy with lots of nice aesthetic touches. Perfect for our little group of 4 and in a great location. The hosts communicate well, are easy to get in touch with as well as being super responsive. We would certainly recommend this rental.

Beautifully furnished, peaceful house. Well supplied with everything you could need. The host was amazingly responsive when we had a problem with one of the appliances. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. Hope to stay here again many times again.

A true Gem in a Quiet Neighborhood!

We have stayed at this lovely home twice. We love the location, peaceful home, well stocked kitchen, cleanest Vrbo we have ever rented and the owner/manager are wonderful! Communication, arrival & departure are all timely and smooth. Over the years of renting this property stands out in all aspects as a true gem and we will stay again on our next trip to LA! An absolute diamond in the LA rough!

Highly Recommend this Wonderful Retreat!

Our stay at this beautiful Zen retreat was one of our best vacation rentals! I highly recommend staying here! The outdoor terrace is tranquil and relaxing. The terrace, hot tub, grill and home interior are all impeccably clean, well maintained, organized and has everything one could possibly need. The owners were incredibly kind and communicative. We will definitely stay again.

Stunningly beautiful home and stay

This is one of the few properties that is even better than the description! Impeccably clean, well appointed, with amenity you could think of! The outdoors are lovely, the hosts are responsive and kind, and you get to have everything you need to relax, rest, entertain and enjoy. I love this place and will hopefully get to stay here every time I come to LA.

I was traveling for my best friend’s wedding and stumbled on this gem. Stunning decor, super fictional kitchen and a well-planned pantry with items galore. Wish i could hand stayed longer.

A wonderful base to enjoy Los Angeles

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The house is extremely comfortable with a complete kitchen for cooking or re-heating leftovers. The beds were also very, very comfortable. High quality towels and products in the bathrooms. The location is very quiet with easy access to all places on the Westside of Los Angeles. The homeowners were immediately responsive to our questions and requests. I look forward to returning to this true Zen Spa retreat on my next visit to Los Angeles.

Perfect for our needs

We rented this property so we could meet a dear friend from Australia, who was giving conferences. It was perfect for our needs. Very quiet. Appreciated the many items in kitchen, such as spices, condiments etc. Did not use the tub nor did we sit outside, but nice for folks who appreciate these ambiences. It is immaculately clean. 100% satisfied!!!

We've been burned lately on listings not being accurately described, but this listing exceeded our expectations and has set the bar VERY high for any other location we rent in the future. Upon checking in we received a walk thru of the house from Daniella, who showed us how every little detail of the house worked and she also checked in with us via text to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The house was spotless, has a very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, plush linens and towels and actually feels like a home, not a rental. We spent lots of time in the private outdoor patio enjoying the hot tub while listening to the tranquil fountains. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this house

Haevenly Stay

Our experience staying for a week at this property was as near to perfect as it gets. We found the home in immaculate condition almost better than any hotel. Everything we could need was provided. The place is unique and very soothing, meditative, and tranquil. The host and the manager were instantly responsive to the few questions we had. The neighborhood is quiet but easily accessible to everything by car. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommends it without reservation.

Wonderful and relaxing retreat in busy Venice, CA.

My family had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Shawnee Smith's Zen Retreat in Venice. A beautiful home that's been lovingly cared for by Shawnee and her property manager Daniella. Both of them were a great to work with and very responsive to our questions. Walking inside the front gate and into the yard, you really felt transported into another zen-like world. Easy to leave the noise and crowds of Venice and L.A. behind. I highly recommend the Zen Retreat if you are looking for a quite, relaxing place to stay, that is still close to the beaches and the L.A./Hollywood scene.

Lovely, relaxing property. One of the best-stocked rentals I've had (of many) for kitchen equipment, bathroom, towels, etc... As it was a cloudy and sometimes rainy week, we particularly enjoyed indoor and outdoor gas fires.
