It is in a little square from where you can see (and hear ...) the church's bells .On the ground floor , through a door built by “Dio Vulcano”, there is a very nice living room. If you go upstairs by a woodden stairs, you 'll find a large kitchen you can use also as a dining room . From here you can go to a corridor , to the bathroom , to the bedroom that accomodates three people , and the living room.The furniture are the same as our granparents' time : wrought iron beds ( be carefull...they are high.....as in the past !) old cest of drawers and tablebeds in authentic wood.Everything is essential, like in a typical country house.In details : the room accomodates 5 people and you can use the kitchen , linen included .The price includes the use of the apartment , the linen for the kitchen ,the bedroom , the bathroom and the final cleaning .If people stay more than a week , linen will be changed and you can have a price discount. In the same building , with indipendent entrance and heating, we can rent another apartment with a bedroom (one double bed and a 2 armchairs bed ), so the room accomodates 9 people. (See the advertise in Homelidays Ref.275949). In the little square there is an iron eagle, a very famous sculpture of the village.The garden has two large terraces , in common with the owner. We were greated warmly and treated like family. There were treats when we arrived to this sparkling clean suite with it’s own parking place for our Fiat Panda. Whatever we could wish for or need was present or available. Alda was always within reach and communication with her was easy. We completely enjoyed the town, the local restaurants and how close by other villages were. We travelled back roads to mountaintops and had access to major highways within about 15 minutes. The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. And there is also a garden with a gardenhouse where you can spend evenings drinking wine by the fireplace. Alda's house is beautifully located in the center of Loro Ciufenna. From the window we could see the clock tower, a few minutes' walk was an old mill and a river. A dozen or so minutes of walk separated us from Gropina and the chapel, which I consider to be one of the most beautiful in Italy. On the same street is a great bakery, in which we supplied delicious bread. Alda as a host was great. We were nice welcomed with a glass of wine and presents. In the following days she was also helpful and friendly and gave us all the information we wanted. I will never forget her warmth and care which she showed us on the last day of our stay, when our daughter was hospitalized. By resigning from her plans, she accompanied me to the hospital, helped and encouraged. Thank you very much, Aldo! You are wonderful and we all greet you warmly. Multo grazie Alda! L''ancien moulin a eau est tout à pres et l''on peut admirer la riviere qui passe au pied du village. notre séjour a été exceptionnel grace à l accueil hors norme de notre hotesse ALDA qui n a cesse de nous couvrir de délicates attentions. Ses conseils nous ont également été précieux (visites, conseil sur les termes....) Loro ciuffena est très bien situé pour visité la TOSCANE, nous avons profité de la saison pour cueillir en foret champignons et chataignes. Notre hotesse s est plus que gentillement chargé d ''allumer le feu de la cheminée se trouvant dans la loge (véranda extérieure jouxtant le jardin) afin de griller nos chataignes, moment très convivial. "La posizione è proprio al centro del paese. L''appartamento è dotato di tutte le attrezzature che servono e la proprietaria è davvero gentile e molto disponbile. The flat is in the city center. Bello il giardino e le terrazze da cui godersi il panorama sul paese e, di sera, anche dopo una giornata caldissima,è stato sempre possibile trovare una temperatura fresca e mite. Il paese è in una posizione adatta a visitare molte città della Toscana e molti percorsi naturalistici. La signora Alda è una persona eccezionale, premurosa e cordiale, sempre disponibile e gentile.
