Really unique hotel in a great area

Two blocks from city hall. We stayed at a number of hotels on our trip and by far the best. It’s clean and elegant with a professional staff. Will stay again the next time we are in Philadelphia.

The listing suggested that this was a premium hotel suite, but it fell short. On the plus side: nice location near Washington Square Park, and the check-in process was straightforward. However, there were more drawbacks. For example, there was a coffee maker and coffee, but no sugar or creamer. There was a spice rack, but no salt and pepper. There were silverware and dishes, but no napkins or placemats. There were cooking pans, but no spatula, hot mitts, or supplies. There was a refrigerator that needed defrosting and had no ice maker or ice tray. There was a laundry facility, but no detergent or instructions. Both toilet seats were loose and misaligned with the stool. The hallway leading to the room was unclean, with a dead bug and a weird, musty smell. The apartment's walls on both levels were dirty and covered in handprints. The bathroom sink did not drain freely, and the shower seal was peeling off. You could hear the thuds of people walking above us or them rolling things across the floor. I felt unsafe, too, since there were no lighted switches, emergency lighting, or a fire extinguisher. There was no cleaning or maintenance staff to address the room's problems. Given the premium price, I can't recommend One Sky Loft.

This hotel is the best of the best. The service is top notch. Decor is modern and interesting (Basquiat theme). The food in the restaurant was really good. This team cares about, and is really good at hospitality. This staff gives The Four Seasons competition. Excellent job, and we will return!
