London

An iconic view of Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament over Westminster Bridge, London, UK (Oct 2014).
Westminster Abbey is one of the most well-known churches in England. It is notable as being the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English monarchs. The abbey cloisters contain the burial locations of many well-known Britons, including Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling, Alfred Tennyson, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, David Livingstone, and William Wilberforce.

Photography is not allowed inside the abbey. Pictures are allowed outside the building, in the cloisters and the College Garden.

I would not like a king who could obey.

- Pierre Corneille

Then, you would love Richard Cœur de Lion or Richard the Lionheart for he didn't obey anything but his own desires. In the words of Steven Runciman: "he was a bad son, a bad husband, and a bad king, but a gallant and splendid soldier."

Perfect! We need more men of questionable character running industry and county in our time of need...I would ask heaven to help us, but I am afraid Richard and his brethren have laid siege upon the pearly gates leaving it in tattered ruins.

The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom.

- William Blake

I suppose, David Cameron could find comfort in this quote, believing, as only a politician could, that he is merely trying to navigate his way to the palace of wisdom.
