Staff were friendly and polite. The room was nothing fancy and looked slightly shabbier than in the photos, but was generally fine and comfortable enough for an overnight stay, although the chair was very flimsy and I had to fold the single pillow in half. The bed felt clean and very comfortable to sleep in so for the price it was fair in this capacity. However the overall state of the hotel was rather run down and did not feel safe. There was general dirt and damages around the room for example the windows safety latch was broken and being on a ground floor this was concerning as anyone could climb in. Thus we had to sleep with the windows closed all night in a heat wave which wasn’t pleasant. Recommended ##### Peter ### 2/10 Terrible #### Joseph 7 Nov 2025 Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities My partner and I stayed in Room 23 on the 25th October and the conditions we encountered were completely unacceptable and fell far below any reasonable standard expected of any hotel. Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed multiple serious issues, including: A used razor left in the bathroom cupboard. The bathroom cupboard covered in mould and grime. A strong smell of cigarette smokethroughout the room. A brown pellet-like substance left in the bathroom sink. Suggestive handprints visible on the bathroom mirror. Writing on the walls. Chewing gum stuck to the wardrobe. A window that was not properly sealed, allowing cold air to enter. A heater that emitted a burning smellwhen turned on, making it unsafe to use and meaning the room had to be extremely cold due to the window, or risk a fire. Green-brown stains running down the radiator. We have attached photographic evidence of the above issues. These conditions not only made our stay deeply unpleasant but also raised serious health and safety concerns. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned, inspected, or maintained prior to our arrival. We attempted to report this to a member of staff, however there were none to be found. We also sent a formal complaint to OYO the next day and have received no respond whatsoever. Zone 4 really easy to reach out, thanks to the TFL rail station who is well connected to Liverpool Street/Stratford station, even at night , thanks to the each train,passing in and out every 10 minutes or less. I recommend this one for anyone wants to stay far away from the caps of the city of London ... But at the same time,having a really good experience. Good price and facilities are adequate. But shower was difficult to operate as the cold tap was broken and the hose was not connected properly so water was sent at 90 degrees. The TV signal was also not able to pick up channel 1 or 2\. Breakfast is adequate but again could be better organised. No plates, no glasses and no bread available at 8am.
