We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve raised; we’ve been hosting for more than 4 yrs & 99% of our guests have enjoyed their stay at our flat. However, we do take seriously your comments & would like to address your concerns: “noisy due to being on an intersection of a road”: Camden is London's 4th most visited tourist area. All our guests love the area for being vibrant, energetic and busy. Background noise of any big city can be expected & it is part of it. Morever the bedroom has triple glazed window which guarantee you peaceful evenings. Total silence is easier to find in the country side. Camden is a multi- cultural area. Downstairs you can find shops, restaurants from all over the world. “police station closeby results in sirens”: It is the proximity to the police station (only 100 meters away) that makes the area extremely safe, which could be a concern in a big city. Most of our guests, particularly those coming with children feel safe in our area! “heat wave so windows had to be open all night..”: The heat wave was unusual this year & unexpected even for us Londoners! Please understand that flats in London don’t have air conditioning & you can’t expect hosts to install them for a week of heatwave. However, we have provided fans in the flat for your comfort. It was unfortunate that you had to endure this heat, but many of our guests love the London summers, which is usually a very moderate one. The temperature has already dropped to 22 degrees. “when my wife was delayed in arriving we had to pay a significant late check in fee”: We always send emails to our guests keeping them well informed in advance. We charge a very nominal amount for delays in arrival after allowing for grace period. Further, we provide personal check in to our guests unlike other rentals, where you have to pick up keys from another address. This saves you time & energy & our staff can also show you a few things around in the flat if needed. Our staff, who has multiple check ins a day, waits for you at the flat to check you in. In case of delays, they need to work double time & its a very small fee to compensate them for this. Our apartment only has good reviews and satisfied guests. We found your comments unreasonable & recommend maybe to book an apartment outside London next time.

Dear Bill, It is sad to observe that you have been misrepresenting/distorting the facts of your experience with us. We are a reliable, professional, hard-working team with strong work ethics. You have completely ignored our cancellation policy. Dear Bill, you cannot simply expect a full refund of your booking on your day of arrival because you're in a bad mood, exhausted...First, this is against our cancellation policy - we are flexible within reasonable limits; second, this is showing not such consideration to our housekeeping team. Here are the FACTS: 1. When you booked a couple of months prior to your arrival, we detected shortly after the booking was confirmed that our flat had been booked for the first night of your stay. This error of the system was detected well in advance of your arrival; you were offered a solution to look for a place to stay for the first night and the option of cancelling your booking with a full refund. But you chose to accept the solution. 2.The flat was not booked for the second night. This is simply a false allegation; and the price did not change as a result of your booking. We kindly offered you to drop your luggage at 10:00am, then come back a few hours later when the flat would be ready. As per our description on the website our standard check in time is 3pm, but we can accommodate earlier check in if possible. On your day of arrival there were guests leaving at 10:00am and you were well informed that you could only leave your luggage. Then you've opened a case with VRBO to get a full refund; they ruled in our our favour. Again dear Bill, we can understand someone could be in a bad mood for a myriad reasons - life can be hectic, stressful, the world is not always an easy place; however, you cannot simply expect a full refund for a booking, where conditions were met; we are a small family business; we were honest with you from the very beginning and acted with integrity, honoring the terms of our agreement. Dear Bill, you would have loved our flat if you could have stayed, as the overwhelming majority of our guests are satisfied and happy. We wish you well, Marco and team

Thank you Kurt for this generous review. Flats in London do not have aircons as it is very rare to have hot temperatures here. Today it s cloudy and temperatures are hovering 19-20 degrees. However we do provide many fans. We hope to see you soon!

Hi Lisa, we are sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience; we ve been hosting for more than 4 years and 99% of our guests have enjoyed their stay at our Camden flat. However we do take seriously your comments and we ll try to answer as thoroughly as possible. Our normal check-in time is at 3:00pm; you did say you would arrive at Heathrow at 10:00am so we would be expecting you at noon at the flat; then you changed your arrival time with a very short notice. We did also send you an email a week before your arrival with all the contact numbers of our housekeeping team to be called when you arrive at the airport as they are the preferred point of contact upon arrival; they have not received any call from you on your arrival day. We use an independent professional cleaning team but with the confusion regarding the arrival time it has disrupted their operations. That was very unfortunate. We did response to your emails in a timely manner and even sent our handyman Michael within a couple of hours to fix the an item in the bathroom when the usual time is 24h! As for the locks we use one of the most reliable and expensive ones to make the property as safe as possible. That is not correct to say "not being able to easily exit the apartment in case of emergency" the locks are a bit stiff when you put the key in (ie when you enter to the flat) not when you exit as you don't need a key. Overall we ve done our best to accommodate you given these rare circumstances. Hope you are well and hopefully see you soon.
