The apartment was in a perfect location for visiting the O2. It is literally a 5 minute walk to the arena. It was spacious and comfortable. The host was very responsive which we appreciated and let us check in an hour early which was helpful. An FYI for future guests: Unfortunately, although there were two adults staying, they could only provide us with one set of keys, and there was no lockbox or other means of accessing the apartment. This was very inconvenient as while I was attending an event at the O2 for the weekend, my husband spent the weekend exploring London. We figured we would be able to come and go as we pleased but we constantly had to coordinate with each other. I have never stayed at a place where each adult on the booking didn’t have the means to come and go at will. When I questioned this the host said this was normal for a serviced apartment (which it isn’t) and they could provide another set of keys but it would have cost me 25 pounds a day. I feel that this is a cost the host should have been willing to cover. We had to meet someone off site initially to retrieve the keys which is also unusual. The young man was very pleasant but the whole thing felt slightly shady. When we arrived there was no hot water and the shower didn’t work but this was quickly resolved. The guest experience could be easily improved by adding some hooks to hang wet towels (there are none), a cafetière, tea towels, salt, pepper and oil, and washing up liquid.
