AWFUL EXPERIENCE but let’s start on the only positive I can think of, it’s cheap for a London hotel. Positives over!
The staff were rude and dismissive of the fact that the rooms were dirty & unhygienic. The lock on my room didn’t work and all they would do about it is reassure me that nobody would come in! Couldn’t leave my possessions as they could’ve been stolen. Asked to move rooms & they refused to let me saying there were no free rooms, despite the vacancies sign showing on the front door.
The fan above the bed sounded like it was about to blow off the wall and had a dirty tissue shoved behind it. The fridge didn’t work and it contained one small milk (enough for 1 cup of tea) and 4 tea bags?!
The mattress was stained with dribble & heaven knows what else, my friend was greeted by three pubes on his bed. The bathroom had no soap in the dispenser and the floor tiles were shattered. The curtains had a white stain on and the bedding had three red blobs on it (I dread to think).
The walls were paper thin and I could not only hear my side neighbours, I could also hear the visitor above’ s mobile vibrating. The road was also loud but in fairness it’s London so that’s to be expected.
These were students staying being ridiculously loud at midnight and when I told the staff they told me that I should go and tell them to be quiet. They basically didn’t care!
Awful experience, wouldn’t go back if you paid me!
