We were also surprised to find that our room was not in the same building as the lobby, but in a separate building some 200 feet down the block without any lobby or common space what so ever. We were told that this was expressly pointed out on the web description. If it is, I'm missing where it is located, as I still can't find it. When advising the hotel manager of our disappointment, we were treated rudely and told that "a child could find it". Everyone has a bad day from time to time, so the rudeness is forgivable, but it doesn't alter the fact that it is not disclosed, nor does it change the fact that the room (at least in the second building) was small. The hotel was lovely - extremely clean and the staff were, without exception, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only downside was the sunken bath in a very enclosed space which made it difficult to get in and out of. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was warm. The staff were friendly too, saying hello whenever we went out or came back, and they also allowed us to leave a suitcase for a few hours after we checked out. Check in was quick and efficient and the gent was so friendly and helpful. the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, looked almost brand new. modern shower and bathroom great shower actually. tea, coffee mini bar and planet of sockets. the bed was huge and very very comfortable with lovely pillows. the hotel was quiet and I had a good night sleep. Would recommend and will stay here again.
