If you are looking for a traditional hotel experience skip this one. However, we wanted something a bit unique and we got it. Staff is not overly friendly but I guess that is part of the local charm. Rooms are nice and clean and the pub’s live music on Monday was a special treat. Super cool vibe overall. Staff were great, as always. The only slight hiccup was a bit of trouble with the shower, as we lost water pressure a few times through the week, and once (briefly) alltogether. There was no AC and no screen in the window. No safe in the room. Bed was uncomfortable with some stains on the bedding, but livable. Unexpected bonus: Kittens in the hallway. Unexpected drawbacks: 1) Hours of loud sounds of clanging pots, pans, silverware between 11pm - 3am after the crepe place downstairs had closed (as someone cleaned up). 2) They would not let me check-out early, despite more than 24 hours notice because I booked through a third party. This leaves me with a negative impression of this business. Plans change when traveling and most accommodations allow for flexibility with 24 hours notice. The shower was erratic, hot and cold. Directly outside the hotel, under our bedroom, was a creperie stall with attendant odours. Fun pub with great atmosphere. I got to meet people and enjoy their company. Surprisingly I didn't find the noise from pub impinged on my stay at all. The room was a little cramped, particularly the bathroom, so that I was glad that I was traveling alone.
