Active and fun family time

This a a great place to stay. Good location, close to trails and Logan, lots of amenities, accurate pictures and description with plenty of space, great communication and responses. We had a great time.

Enjoyable stay at the western hideaway! Clean, comfortable beds, stocked with fire wood, propane a nice touch. Plenty of clean towels to use for the hot tub and shower. Close to hiking and a Walmart for groceries.

The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. The cabin was perfect for a family get together. We had 10 people in the cabin and we all fit comfortably. The decor of the cabin was charming and was the perfect fit. We all loved it. We will definitely stay again.

Great family time!

This is an excellent rental: homey, good location, solid amenities, and excellent customer service! Communication was great! Side note: out of 100s of Hocking Hills rentals and hotels, we happened across.this one, which was the same rental as our family vacation in 2013! While our kida are much older and all could not make this vacation, it held the same fabulous memories as before.

Very pleased with our stay. The host kept an open and timely line if communication. The house was great, couldnt be mor pleased. The only possible issue is the driveway is quite steep, but still navigable, I would suggest not arriving in a low sports car.

We just wrapped up a long weekend at Western Hideaway—and what a weekend it was! From the serene forest setting to the hosts’ genuine warmth, it ranks high on our vacation rentals list. And even though we never met Martin and Brandon in person, their thoughtful, prompt communication made them absolutely outstanding hosts. The cabin was beautiful, well kept and beds comfortable. It was clean and there were lots of games like pool, corn hole, darts, etc. It was in a beautiful area/setting. There are a lot of steep steps everywhere which make loading/unloading and getting around a challenge. Hot tub had a few maintenence issues but was useable. Be sure to take your own spices and basic staples as there are none. You may also want to take extra dish cloths and kitchen towels. There were a few minor issues but we had a great time!

This cabin was great! We had two families plus grandpa all able to stay here comfortably. 4 kids loved the bunk room, adults loved having their own bathrooms, and grandpa had his own secluded space downstairs. I really appreciated how clean the cabin was, there are tons of games to keep all entertained, and the decor was really fun too. Our host was very attentive and brought us dry fire wood to use after it rained as well as answering any questions I had. They even recommended a local butcher when I asked :)We saw so much wildlife here too, including deer. This location is perfect since it’s only a 10 - 15 min drive to old man’s cave and cedar falls. And only 10 min drive in to Logan. We can’t wait to stay here again!

The kids room was perfect for our families 4 cousins! Even had a sitting room / loft with TV just outside the bedroom for them.
Such a cozy cute living room with electric fireplace. Wish we took a day to just stay at the cabin all day, over going out every day.
