Lovely house, well furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean
Excellent 3 night stay on a business trip (as not many hotel options locally). The house is very new, well furnished and equipped, and spotlessly clean. Milk and shortbread were a nice welcome. Excellent guest information book with property and local information. Beds very comfortable and powerful showers! Location is on the edge of town but an easy walk into town. Co-op supermarket not far away.

Our second visit….
Our parents live in Lochgilphead so it’s the ideal place to stay. It’s our second visit this year! It’s been said many times, but Kiln really is a home from home. The attention to detail is exceptional. From the furniture, soft furnishings, the beds and bedding. Everything has been chosen with comfort in mind. It also has one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve ever encountered in a rental property.
Even your pets are catered for!
We just love it and will stay whenever we visit again. I should also mention Christine is a marvellous host.

Lovely new property at the back of Lochgilphead
Lovely new property at the back of Lochgilphead. Only a 10 minute walk to the shops and 15 minute to the shore.
The Crinan Canal is only a 5 minute walk and Lochgilphead golf course is a well maintained, short 9 holes course.
We had a lovely relaxing stay

Well equipped house with comfy beds
Lochgilphead is an ideal place to stay to visit all the prehistoric sites in and around Kilmartin. It also has a Co-Op, Tesco at the petrol station and a Morrisons local on the main street. There is a fish and chip shop, a Chinese and some cafes. The house has all mod cons, washing machine and tumble dryer. The master bedroom has an en-suite and a very comfortable king-size bed. Using the wet room shower means that anyone wanting to use the toilet is paddling to get to it for the rest of the day! As we were a couple we never used it again. There is access for the disabled via a ramp to the back door and the light switches and plugs are at the appropriate height for a wheelchair user. All the windows have blinds except the sitting room which requires one for privacy and to keep the heat out. The house is well-insulated as it is heated by a heat pump. The main drawback of the house is that it is very overlooked. If you are out all day, like we were, it is not too much of a problem. The owners have put a picnic table at the front for slightly more privacy. The house is in a quiet, residential area with no traffic noise.
