"Everything was great at the Met, however the pub next door (right below our window) was very noisy, even their staff at 5am!"

"Lovely big room and excellent value for money. We have paid twice as much for half as nice in other places. Very pleasant staff and everything is very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. My husband enjoyed the large 20m swimming pool. We had a great stay and would be happy to return"

"Excellent location. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Large hotel but felt comfortable and welcoming. Staff were lovely, especially breakfast and evening bar/restaurant staff. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Evening meal also good, though had same dessert two evenings, once excellent, once dire! Room was lovely, beds very comfortable. Bathroom could have done with a more thorough clean ( dust in places and obvious washable marks on floor) Struggled to work TV, an idiots guide would have been useful. Didn’t use gym so can’t comment. Overall a very comfortable stay, perfect for our requirements and would return."

"Stayed just the one night while catching a show at the City Varieties. Would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff and lovely room. Parking at the hotel can be a problem so suggest booking early at a nearby carpark. I found big discounts at Citipark with an advanced booking."
