Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Room a little tired - cracked sink, toilet seat wouldn’t stay up when using the loo.
Great little village pub and very friendly staff.
Good value for money including breakfast.
We stayed at the Red Lion for a few days as we were meeting family. The accommodation is situated at the back of the pub and is bright and clean. You can access it by walking through the pub or walking round the back. There is plenty of parking but it can get busy when the pub is open!
It’s situation means you have easy access to get to many places by road very quickly.
The staff who work there are fantastic and very helpful. We had breakfast each morning as well which was excellent! I would recommend staying here
Lovely and clean , friendly staff , great food , room was lovely been a few times it’s close to edgehill uni where our daughter is and love staying there
Had a lovely stay at the Red Lion for Grand National weekend.
We usually stay somewhere else, however, we were really pleased with the hotel, and would probably stay again in the future.
The room was amazing. Gorgeous comfy bed, lots of space and decent shower and bath.
The food was your average pub grub, served hot and quickly.
The staff were lovely and attentive in the bar.
The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because unfortunately the hair dryer didn't work (luckilly i took my travel one anyway), and the tea/coffee station wasn't restocked for the next day despite being asked if we'd like anything.
Very minimal things that were negative, but thought I should bring them up so that it doesn't happen in future.
All round a lovely trip in a lovely location.
Thank you!
Lovely stay at this hotel. Room was spotless and a very good size. Pub was cosy and comfortable. The staff team were lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and cant recommend highly enough.
And fantastic value for money
Shining example of what quality, inexpensive accommodation should be. great buzz in the pub, excellent food, faultless staff, and great rooms
Well done to all, front and back of house.....
