We stayed here for 2 wonderful nights. The hotel features in the World Boutique Hotel Awards Collection 2015 and rightly so. With 11 beautiful bedrooms, library, roof terrace, stylish traditional design and friendly staff who make every effort made to accommodate customers exacting requirements this as good as it gets. Just don't expect an olympic sized swimming pool, gymnasium and conference facilities.

There are many boutique hotels out there these days, some much better than others, but the Edison George Town has to be up there as one of the best I have stayed in. Smack in the heart of colonial George Town is this wonderfully renovated hotel, brought back to life by the new owners. The restoration of the hotel has been extremely well done and attention to detail impeccable throughout. This hotel is so very beautiful and unique, expressing love for a vibrant bygone age that was the Peranakan Chinese in the late 19C and early 20C in the highly decorated southern Chinese furniture, objets and gilded carpentry in the hotel's overall decor, as well as the use of Victorian floor tiles which was favoured for both their beauty and practicality. Standards are some of the highest anywhere, in stylish and unique decor, cleanliness (pristine), friendliness and helpfulness of the staff...

Staff were always friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. Everything is brand new and lovely. Rooms are elegant and spacious with an excellent shower. Great location for walking to Little India, Little China, the heritage area, jetties, street art, and many eateries of all kinds. Beautiful rooftop infinity pool with towels and shower.

Its a wonderful building with very pleasant staff. Limited food options, but many local places to eat. Rooms are lovely, with lots of space. Road noise can be an issue, but wasnt for me.

The E&O is a the perfect hotel for a relaxing break, this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint, The staff make this hotel what it is, nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel is located in the city center. You can totally walk from one place to another within minutes. You can also find lots of food stalls with reasonable pricing around the city.

Delightful hotel in heritage property. Very helpful, friendly staff. Spacious, comfortable rooms, well-soundproofed with quiet AC, no traffic noise and very comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommemded.

Great hotel with great staff.

Clean, good location, helpful happy staff

Stayed here with my partner for one night as we wanted a base to explore Georgetown from while on holiday in Penang. This little hotel was amazing! We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived which was lovely. It was based in a central location which enabled us to explore little India and surrounding streets. The rooms were well maintained and were very spacious. The only downside was that in our room we didn't have any coat hangers to hang up anything that you didn't want to get creased. There...

Wonderful stay here, a real gem in the middle of Georgetown. Everything is within walking distances and the hotel is well located. Breakfast was great. Room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom area. Would recommend to all.

Hotel was ideally located, extremely clean with exceptional facilities and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you stay in George Town.

We didn’t have breakfast because there were so many eateries in the vicinity of the hotel so I can’t comment on breakfast. The staff were lovely, the room was extremely clean, cool and comfortable and we would definitely return to this hotel again. Excellent location too.

Hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but for some reason one of the rooms originally located which was on the 4th floor smelt of smoke. Asked to be moved to a diff room straight away and they accommodated straight away and even told us to wait for assistance with new key and help with luggages. Second room we got was much better and actually the beds were huge. Nice ameneties and bathroom comes with everything that you need. Breakfast comes with good variety of choice too. We were able to walk around...

The room was perfect. Hotel staffs was helpful with nice personality. Full equipment in room, we loved it. Hotel location can access to other place easily. Of course, we will stay here next time we come to Penang.
