My stay at Pousada Palácio de Queluz was, without question, the best hotel experience I have ever had in Europe. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and helped me navigate the area from day one. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Located directly across from the stunning Palácio de Queluz, it feels like stepping back in time. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and full of historic charm, with high ceilings and incredibly comfortable beds. At the same time, the bathrooms are modern and thoughtfully designed. A special thank you to João at reception, who warmly welcomed me and shared the fascinating history of the hotel and the palace. Every single person I encountered, from the breakfast staff to the housekeeping team , was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. As a lovely surprise, I was welcomed with a bottle of wine, which made my stay feel even more special. I travel frequently, and by the end of most trips I’m usually eager to return home. This was the first time I found it difficult to leave a hotel. Portugal has many hidden gems, and Pousada Palácio de Queluz is truly one of them. I recommend it wholeheartedly and cannot wait to return.

A unique property located across the Palace of Queluz which is worth visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facility, very clean, wonderful breakfast. Parking on the property very easy. Enjoyed it very much.

Eu gostei muito da minha hospedagem, os funcionários são atenciosos e simpáticos. Minha estadia so não foi melhor, porque nos colocaram em um quarto que é res do chão (térreo) e desse modo a janela dava para rua. Isso me deixou um pouco apreensiva e não consegui dormir bem a noite, tanto pelo receio da janela, como tb pelo barulho da rua. O café da manha eu não tomei pois fiz o Check-out antes da hora, no entanto ainda nos serviram um café com leite e um pastel de nata quentinho e delicioso. Achei esse comportamento do atendente, admirável; tenho certeza que raros funcionários e hotéis teriam essa postura de se preocupar se eu sairia sem tomar café. De modo geral, apesar desses pormenores, gostei bastante da minha estadia.

This is a truly glorious hotel. Its astoundingly quiet. The most spacious room I've ever had in Europe. The staff speaks English and is forgiving of my bad Portuguese.

Ein sehr schönes historisches Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, genau wie das Bad. Wenn man ein Zimmer zur Straße hat, ist es durch den Verkehr auch nachts laut. Es hat uns trotzdem sehr gut gefallen. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig, für jeden was dabei. Das Personal ist nett, freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

We like to stay in hotels settled in historic buildings like the ones of the Spanish Paradores. The Pousada reminded us of it. The spacious rooms in a quiet ambiance with antic furniture a fire place, piano and oil paintings on the walls were appealing to us. The room also had several English language TV channels to catch up on latest news. The breakfast on the house was excellent and the best we had on our entire 4 week trip in Spain and Portugal. However, on a Sunday night there were limited dining options in walking distance from the hotel.

Lots of parking. Very friendly stuff. Very good service. We got bottle of wine and nice plate with cake and strawberries. Very nice breakfast with extra for birthday girl :). Very nice place to stay. Would go back again!
