  • 2 people, 1 bed, 1 bedroom, right in the center of Lisbon.
    The apartment is located in the historic center of Lisbon, in the neighborhood of Sao Cristovao and São Lourenço. The apartment is on the 1st floor of an eighteenth century building which was built after the earthquake of Lisbon in 1755 and was renovated in 2011. These works were carried out as part of an architecture.
    The apartment has a good light and comfort. It has wireless Internet available, and even cable TV. Here you can take a Nespresso coffee or enjoy a good bottle of Portuguese wine.
    This area is very close to the São Jorge Castle (10 minutes walk) and the same distance the river and the Bairro Alto. It's very central as it is in the heart of the city. It is very near Rossio Square and Figueira Square. It is 1 minute from Rossio subway station and a car park. It has many means of transport available right next door (metro, bus, tram and taxi) and the different trade, including a mini-market.
    The building is situated in a typical pedestrian stairway to the castle of San Jorge.

The reviews for this property are accurate— an excellent host, lovely well outfitted apartment, and close to many attractions. While the apartment building itself is quiet there can be noise outside off/on into the wee hours and cigarette smoke drifting in, plus there is a huge street light outside the bedroom. Bring a sleep mask and earplugs and enjoy or come at a less hot time of the year so you can use the very nice shutters.

Andre is a marvellous host who spends a great deal of time and energy to make sure his guests are cared for. This is so helpful, especially if it’s your first time in Lisbon. The apartment is small, but Andre has made sure that his guests have everything they need. The location is so convenient — just down the hill from the castle , 10 minutes’ walk from the riverfront, a block from a market, 2 blocks from all public transportation. It was just what we needed. But do remember to bring earplugs! Obrigada, Andre!

The apartment was in the perfect location, just outside of the heart of downtown Lisbon. The apartment was very clean, André was a great host and gave many great recommendations for things to do. Thanks André for a great stay in Lisbon!

Excellent Base from which to visit Old Lisbon

Charming little apartment, centrally located, close to conveniences, restaurants, Fado bars, shopping districts and tourist points of interest. Our host was charming, very helpful and provided a great deal of information on Lisbon and Portugal. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone contemplating visiting Lisbon.

Little gem in a big city

This is a wonderful, comfortable home well stocked with anything you might need. It is so easy to walk or tram anywhere in Lisbon. Grocery and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Andre is a fabulous host picking us up at the airport and providing a full day private tour. Everything rates an excellence! We would be so fortunate to stay here again.

Small but cosy

Small but very well equipped apartment. Andre couldn’t have been a better host. Super communication before travel, sent lots of information and suggestions for our trip to Lisbon. Collected us at airport. Location very good. Nice furnishings, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Would book again if back in Lisbon.

Great introduction to Lisbon

The apartment's location was understated but perfect. We were near a Metro station. The old part of the city, Alfama, was right outside the door. Restaurants, the riverfront, plazas...all within walking distance. And our hosts gave us wonderful advance information via email, greeted us at the apartment, and responded to our questions within a few minutes every time.

Great apartment in good location

The owner Andre was terrific and took care to think of every detail. He gave directions to get there and walked me to the property which is close to the metro line. He went over all details of the property and had a map and many details about the city, gave recommendations of places to go. I felt safe and comfortable. The place is very easy to find and navigate back to. Highly recommend this apartment.

Tourist friendly location Lisbon

Overall the interior of apartment was very clean and with all amenities we needed. Living area and kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. However this street does not have air conditioning and weather was 30 degrees hot. Location to tourist areas was awesome and easy to walk. Host Andre was very prompt professional with all his communication. Thank you, Bruce.

Great location and matches description

Appartement is spotless, as in photos. Small but big enough for 2. Comfy bed. Left extra bottle of wine and provided ample tourists details picked us up complimentary at airport upon arrival. Easy communication and accommodating. Central located and can do most of the visits by feet. The only negative was few couple junkies down the street shouting during the day (only). As a couple we did not feel threatened but we wouldn’t have felt comfortable with younger kids.

Not only is André’s location in the heart of Lisbon, He is without a doubt the BEST host you could have asked for. André truly loves his city and make sure to give his guest the best out of a Lisbon adventure. André efforts were much more than expected and extremely helpful. The apartment was a perfect size with everything you will need. Neighbors were welcoming and kept themselves. André’s location will be our forever home in Lisbon. I would highly recommend.

Centrally located pied-à-terre

André, our host, couldn't be more helpful and welcoming! Well before we arrived in Lisbon, he provided us with useful information to ensure that we maximized our stay. Any questions were always answered promptly. Check-in was very smooth. The location of the unit was perfect. We could easily walk to many sites located in Lisbon. Good apartment, unsafe location.

Lisbon is a beautiful city and we had some memorable moments. Not the least of which were our culinary adventures. We had the best food of our entire trip in Lisbon, thanks in part to Andre’s recommendations. Andre was very helpful and his small apartment lived up to expectations: it was nicely decorated, well appointed and equipped. The problem was the location. The apartment was in an unsafe area of town. It was tucked in a quiet backstreet just off the main drag, which seemed very appealing to the less fortunate members of Lisbon’s society. When we first arrived, there were about 5 people strewn about the steps: one was totally prone - presumably asleep - the others were sitting on the steps in various stages of inebriation or intoxication from alcohol and/drugs. A M/F couple were sitting on a step exactly outside our front door and were still there when we returned from dinner later that evening. A couple of males were there the following night and tried to engage us in conversation while we struggled to unlock our door. Throughout the 1st two nights there was considerable noise outside, mostly loud shouting of a profane nature. This cleared on the 3rd and 4th nights, presumably because police attended a domestic disturbance and frightened the street people away. But the damage was done. We were apprehensive about returning to the apartment at any time of day but especially after dark. We witnessed two males urinating against the walls which created an unpleasant odor.

The apartment is centrally located with easy access to restaurants & food stores. As with most of Lisbon there are steps leading to the apartment & steps to the upper floor. The apartment is clean with a well stocked kitchen. Host has a variety of guide books and maps. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Andre was an excellent host. Close to lots of amenities and restaurants. Apartment was clean and Andre had lots of information available about the unit itself and Lisbon. Close to historic Tram 28 starting point and a 10 minute walk to the waterfront.
