Alfama is one of the oldest and most charming neighbourhoods in Lisbon. It is known for its narrow, winding streets, historic buildings, and stunning views of the Tagus River. The area is famous for its traditional Fado music, with many small restaurants and bars hosting live performances. The São Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral, and the National Pantheon are key attractions. Alfama's unique character, vibrant culture, and rich history make it a popular destination for tourists and locals. Saint Anthony, the patron saint of Lisbon, is celebrated every year on June 13th with the Festas de Lisboa, also known as the Santo António Festival. This festival includes street parties, parades, traditional music, and food, particularly sardines. The event is vibrant and integral to Lisbon's cultural heritage, attracting locals and tourists. Saint Anthony's Church, located in the Alfama district, is built on the site where he is believed to have been born. The property is easily accessible by public transport and car. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. Das Apartment liegt optiimal gelegen, um von hier aus alles zu erkunden... 3 min. weg ist eine herrliche Aussichtsterasse, wo man sich niederlassen und etwas trinken kann, um den Tag mit einem tollen Ausbilick zu starten... uns hat es gefallen... zu beachten ist, dass man gut zu Fuß sein sollte, da es treppauf- und treppab geht... auch das Apartment ist nur über eine steile Treppe zu begehen... tolles Erlebnis! ##### Natalie N.
