Brilliant stay. Not too far from the airport if you have a car but feels like a million miles away from Lisbon, perfect if you want to get away from it all. Great base if you want to visit the beaches in the south/west. We really appreciated the breakfast. In the middle of the national park - we saw animals every morning. Amazing location for the able bodied as there are stairs between every public room. We had a fabulous time and opted to eat dinner at the hotel both evenings. The road down is steep and winding. We were quite anxious as we approached. At first, when we saw the goat, goose and duck, I thought we were heading into a commune. What a lovely surprise, and relief, to enter a wonderful and quirky building. The decor and setting is unique and lovely. The dinner is served with every guest in one table, food was good and same as the breakfast. We were in the rooms outside the main house, has better view but you don't have WiFi and it was cold to go between your room and the main house. was a good experience.
