Wonderful pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Lack of room facilities. No kettle, iton, clothes rack for hanging wet swimming things. For a 4 star this would be expected. Its a fine hotel but dated and the the furntiture at pool needs an update/clean. Ashtrays werent emptied.

Enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights, nice big pool and big rooms. One downside is that there is no manual adjustment for the air conditioning - it is done centrally. Also the parasols around the pool are immovable and therefore can’t adjust based on the sun. Easy reach to Lipari town and port, location is great.

We had an excellent visit- the staff were very helpful. They picked us up from the ferry, had beach towels available, and even packed us a breakfast bag for our early ferry. Breakfast was plentiful, rooms were nice and the whole hotel is very clean and beautiful.

Initial impressions positive - we were collected at the ferry port by the minibus and taken to the hotel. The pool was lovely, with a smaller inset shallow pool the children could use. Only disappointing this for us, as a family with small children, was the restaurant opening times (opened at 20:00), which was far too late for our preschoolers. Other than that the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and despite being fully occupied never felt crowded or busy. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with swing seats and sitting areas outside.

Such a great looking place.
The hotel was very good, one of the best we have ever stayed in but a few details let it down. The A/c was centrally controlled and the rooms were never cool enough. When there were not many gusts staying the hot water took an absolute age to come through and when it did, it wasn’t very hot. The facilities outside the room were excellent, great breakfast and pool. Close to town and ferries so great for getting around.

Very well equipped hotel in Lipari, lovely pool
Excellent hotel with easy access to Lipari town. The rooms were clean and spacious and the balconies were good. The pool area was excellent - large, clean pool with a pool bar serving very good cocktails. The location was very convenient for town. The only small drawback was that the restaurant was limited in the evenings but there were plenty of options only a short walk away in town.

What a great location out of the way of the centre only enough to be quiet but so close to everything. Loved our stay and could not recommend Aktea highly enough

Wonderful place to stay. Great location - easy walk to ferry and shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Great view. Excellent customer service provided when I needed additional assistance. Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant stay
This hotel has a great swimming pool and is located on the quiet side of Lipari, a short walk from the ferry dock. Our room had a lovely balcony with sea and town views.

Excellent hotel! Wonderful staff, family owned.
Hotel is near port and center of town. Can easily walk to both locations. Hotel has all the amenities for a fabulous vacation. Huge pool. The staff was so efficient, warm, accommodating and gracious. I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Good price for the room.

Very nice hotel with excellent front desk staff
The hotel was very nice (building, pool, etc), room very comfortable and nicely decorated, breakfast was very good, location was great (literally 3 mins walk from the historical centre of Lipari where all restaurants and bars are, but extremely quiet providing you with high quality sleep during the night). However, what really made the difference compared to other hotels is the front desk staff, Alessandra and her colleague really made the extra mile to help us during our stay. Apart from being extremely kind, they provided us with very useful insight on the island and helped us in booking boats, scooters, excursions and meet all our needs. Always available, they provided a 5 star concierge service that really made the difference during our stay

good hotel in lipari
This was a nice hotel about a 3 minute walk from the ferry port. It made the town easy to access, but was quiet at the same time. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the included breakfast was nice. I would stay here again.

Great Hotel
We loved the hotel. Our room had a balcony looking over the swimming pool and then the port beyond. In the morning the sun flooded the room with sunshine directly. The hotel is some distance from the town centre but that is not a bad thing, as it makes it quiet. Also we could easily park our rented car there. Facilities were excellent and the staff incredibly helpful - we gave them a lot to do. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and everything was so inviting.

Very convenient to the waterfront
The hotel staff was very nice and the facilities are very modern and clean. We stayed on the ground floor with a walk out lanai giving us access to the excellent pool. We had breakfast included, which was of the normal European variety. We very much enjoyed eating outdoors near the pool, and also had an excellent lunch at the hotel. The upkeep of the grounds and the facilities is just great, and my baby, 10 mos old, enjoyed the kiddie pool very much. The lower gate drops you in a neighborhood and you're one block from the waterfront. Would definitely recommend for families wanting a relaxing environment and an excellent pool.

Very quiet, but an excellent hotel!
If you're looking for a lively, bustling hotel with lots of entertainment the Aktea is not for you. However, if you want quality accommodation on the edge of a busy interesting town it's ideal. The breakfast is good (the coffee is not) so ask for a capuccino and pay a few pence extra! Other than that, beautiful rooms all with AC and external terrace. Elegant gardens and a swimming pool that is just superb. Stay at this hotel and you will not be disappointed.

High quality, stylish hotel for relaxing
A great hotel that provides a peaceful experience for couples, individuals or families. The staff are very helpful and speak English. The swimming pool is a main focus and is excellent and very clean. The hotel bar is very stylish but does not seem to be much used. It would be very good if a nice bar were provided closer to the pool so residents could use it as a social focus in the evenings (for example). Without this residents need to go to nearby Lipari to find social activity.

I spent a really lovely week at The Aktea Hotel. The staff were delightful and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. My room was spotless, the food delicious and any difficulties were sorted out immediately. (I mislaid my room card at one time and it was replaced without comment). The managing staff all spoke English which always makes a holiday easier.

Best in Lipari!!!
OUTSTANDING!!! Didn't expect it to be this nice. I'm used to European standards and trust me when I say they are not always this nice. Price was great, perhaps because it was in the off season. Weather was nice enough for my daughters to get in the beautiful pool. The hotel is just a short walk to the center of the town and fleet landing. Breakfast was very good too. Great service and great vacation. Cleaning crew does a fantastic job cleaning too. Definitely recommend it!

La struttura è in una posizione molto vicina al centro storico e al porto di Lipari. Ha una piscina e dei giardini meravigliosi. Le camere sono arredate in modo semplice ma pulite e silenziose. La chicca di Aktea sono il ristorante assolutamente squisito e il personale, cordiale e gentilissimo. Posso solo consigliare questo hotel a chi desidera rilassarsi nella bellissima isola. Grazie mille!
