"The place is wonderful. What I did not like much is that some of the facilities were not available (hidro massage, gas bbq). The road to get there is also narrow and full of curves, but totally worth it. The family do not speak much in English, but we always could mostly understand each other. The apartment that I got was old fashioned and better than I could expect and with almost everything you might (no salt or oil to cook, but everything else). The view is amazing and the heating elements...

"Schöne Lage im alten Ortskern. Das Zimmer ist groß, sauber und recht schön. Alles in Ordnung somit. Wenn man am Wochenende übernachtet, sollte man sich darauf einstellen, dass es auf der Piazza unterhalb des Zimmers sehr laut werden kann und das bis weit in die Nacht. Deswegen auch nur 4 Sterne. Wir hatten an einem Sonntag eine Band die bis 23:45h gespielt hat und anschließend waren noch Gäste und Einwohner da die bis mindestens 01:00h sehr laut waren. "We had a small wedding here in the first week of October, and everything about this villa exceeded our expectations! To start, the property and surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. Barga and Castelnuovo are hidden gems that had great restaurants and sights to visit. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain, and has stunning views of the valley. Our favorite was the morning fog that rolls in! The villa itself was perfectly updated, while retaining its Tuscan charm. We were able to comfortably fit family and friends in the individual apartments that allowed for hanging out but privacy also. However the best part of our stay at the villa was interacting with the owner, our wedding coordinator Marie (through Tuscan retreats), and the staff. They immediately treated us like family and were extremely generous! They cooked our wedding reception dinner as well as the pizza night. The food was up there with some of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service felt like fine dining! They were so understanding and gracious with all of the chaos that comes with a wedding, and for that we’ll be forever grateful.We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about getting off the beaten path in Tuscany, we certainly can’t wait for our next visit!"

"We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table too! Just a great stay, everything we hoped for. "

"We loved everything about our stay here. The staff and Barbara went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Luca, the chef came around during dinner chatting with the tables. The farm to table style of dining was unique and always delicious. We loved the mountain trails to explore the landscape and the views are spectacular. Our apartment was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting outside on the upper level patio taking in the tranquility, beauty and history that surrounded us. The museum and talking with Barbara helped us to appreciate the story of the area and the passion to continue on the philosophy of the farm living created by the family. It was our first agritourismo experience and it was perfect."
