The cosy, 3-level chalet has all the desirable features of an alpine getaway, including a private garden, warm wooden interiors, large picture windows, an exclusive access wooden balcony with open-air seating and a large family living room with ample seating.
In the well-equipped living room, there are sofas, a large Savoyard dining, flat-screen TV, a sofa seating centred around a coffee table and a fully-equipped kitchen to facilitate an absolutely carefree holiday. In the kitchen, a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, fridge, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine are available for guests’ use.

The Le Prarion ski lift and Bellevue Cable car are both a 5-minutes drive and give access to stunning powder pistes for all abilities. The sunny village of Copeau, with the year-round destination of Merlet Animal Park, and Les Chavants are a 10-15 minutes drive. Plus, for some off-slope fun, the village of Les Houches also has 2 snow parks.

The photos create a false impression that this is in the countryside. It is not. The city garbage collection is in bins in front of the house (25 feet away) next to the driveway. It is used frequently by residents. On the other side is the driveway is a city bus stop. The outside was unkempt -- weeds growing out of control and a dead bird on the porch. The beds were low and not as comfortable as expected.
Looked like chalet had been abandoned when we arrived - all shuttered up, ‘garden’ effectively a gravel parking area surrounded by weeds and a rotting dead bird at the bottom of the steps. Front door wouldn’t open as handle had become loose so had to enter via garage that had been converted into a store room and led directly into one of the bedrooms. Bedrooms all downstairs and very dingy. Bathrooms ok but just screened off with a curtain. Beds very poor quality, worst pillows I have ever encountered. Location right by main road (far from ‘rural’), next to recycling bank and opposite busy bus stop (not great when trying to dine out on the balcony). Sticky light switches. Furniture and all crockery, cutlery all very average, it felt like it was set up for gap year students doing a ski season!
