The hotel was an ideal base for us, my husband spent his time cycling the iconic local climbs and I was able to relax, in comfort waiting for his weary return!
The buffet breakfast was first class, with an excellent choice to even satisfy the fussiest of eaters. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, arranging places to eat ( as the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings) to checking whether the local cycling climbs were open or not.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone...

Be mindful that there is no TV which is fine for the fact that this is a relaxing and thoughtful retreat - the wifi isn't great but againn as above. There is also no air con just a fan - we were ok with this but it can get pretty hot!
Beautifully presented rooms - really lovely stay and will be back for sure.

Stayed 3 nights and all the reception staff were delightful and very friendly - even though our French is not fluent! Hotel all very smart and spotlessly clean. lovely comfortable bed and great shower. The only down side was noise from the street even with the window closed. Not much the hotel can do about that but found it difficult to sleep on the Friday night. Well sound proofed between rooms. Hotel short walk to river, good restaurants and museums. Just a 20 minute walk to the bus...

An old village hotel in a pleasant setting just off main thoroughfare. We were well received and made very comfortable. The only issue that was of concern is that we were quite tired after a day's driving and the excellent evening meal had to be taken at leisure. We waited almost an hour before we got our first course in a small beautiful dining room which have every appearance of being adequately staffed. The delays may have been a result of the meal requiring the culinary skills of one ...
