  • The perfect place to stay while visiting beautiful Mount Dora. Just a short walk or bike ride to historic downtown Mount Dora. Enjoy all the nearby shops, cafes and galleries. Located in an established neighborhood amongst other renovated historical cottages. Walk to the library, parks and to Lake Dora at sunset. Built in 1932, this inviting 2 bedroom 1 bath home has been recently renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and stove.

Our first time in mount dora was wonderful! We highly recommend The Mermaid House. It is close to downtown shopping and restaurants. The house itself is so charming with the wood floors and old time charm. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for a girl's weekend! Very well appointed and comfortable with plenty of seating throughout. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed for cooking in house. Steve is an absolutely wonderful host. The house is certainly cute, but it is older. My sister and I were visiting family close by so we didn’t spend much time at the Mermaid House…basically just a nice, comfortable place to sleep. Didn’t use the kitchen at all and Steve was immediately on a small issue we had with the bathroom sink. Great location in a Mt. Dora neighborhood close to downtown.

Very Cute Property

Really liked the property, it was very cute. Some minor issues like non-functioning TV's and would have been nice to have some ice in the freezer, but overall it was nice and clean and I would stay again!

Cute Bungalow

This cute bungalow is in a great location and a great neighborhood. We were able to easily walk to restaurants and parks. The house has everything you need and is equipped with the basics. We would definitely consider staying here again.
