WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
This is an authentic historic home from Leadville's mining era, so original features are part of its charm: floors are uneven and sloped—something guests often mention as adding character and authenticity to the experience (though those with significant mobility concerns should be aware). The home may show minor signs of age; we recommend embracing the historic character rather than expecting modern uniformity.
Check-in instructions are provided via an email link to an external guidebook—this is the only way to access your entry code, so watch for that email after booking.
Pets are not permitted. Heating keeps the home comfortable year-round, supplemented with plush blankets and cozy comfort amenities.

Parking: Although not guaranteed, this home has room for approximately two cars to be parked in front of it. Leadville’s Victorian homes were historically built quite close together in the days before the “horseless carriage.” As such, parking can sometimes be a challenge. In the winter, maintaining an open parking space can cost homeowners a significant amount of money and/or hours spent shoveling. Please take these things into consideration as you plan your trip, and be courteous to your local neighbors by trying to park directly in front of the home you have rented.
Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.
Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
