The staff here at Savoy were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! The location was perfect for our stay, as we had everything that we wanted and needed within walking distance from our hotel. Beach and pool access here was the most favorite part of our stay!

The room was clean the staff were friendly and very helpful The food wasn’t to my taste the toaster didn’t work properly I did find bread jams cakes and egg the best food for late the melon but not a favourite When I booked in the fridge didn’t work the safe wouldn’t lock the bathroom door was to heavy to close as it was an accessible room that was bad plus a slight lip on the floor level was a trip hazard the telly wasn’t working when I arrived and the kettle had to be moved as there was no where to plug it in were it was kept No seaview just another building block to look at A day at the beach cost an extra 1300 pesos for the buffet which was disgusting I slipped when getting out of the pool and went full length grazed my hand and knee lovely pool with swim up bar

Very nice place to stay in the Newtown area. Room has everything one would need, though over a 10 night stay, there were a couple of nights when there was no TV signal. No big deal. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, in large part due to the amazing staff. Shout out for Ivy! Wonderful young lady who was always super attentive to our needs. Looking forward to staying here again next time we go to Cebu.

The property was clean and comfortable. It’s near the beach, but not on the beach. Some restaurants are nearby. Breakfast was good. It does get very busy after 8am. The employees were very nice and helpful. My only negative was with housekeeping and the refresh of the room. They did not restock amenities or refreshed all the linens. The hotel seem recently built but some materials are showing significant wear and tear (tables, night stands). It was good place to stay for a few nights.

The property is beautiful and very close to the beach. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. They provide laundry service, expensive but makes the stay easier if you stay for a while like I did. The beach is well maintained but the food service there is average. I ordered fish and chips, the fish I received was still raw and one piece was mostly fish skin. The hotel cafe is convenient but routinely runs out of stuff. Overall good stay but could be much better for the cost.

Great 2-Night Stopover, convenient location. ​I recently stayed at the Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown for a quick 2-night stay (arriving May 30th) as part of a hotel and flight package, and it was a a great choice for a seamless stopover. ​The location in Mactan Newtown is incredibly convenient—only about 15–20 minutes from the airport, which made arrival completely stress-free. Everything you need is within walking distance, including local restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, and convenience stores. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with good air conditioning and reliable Wi-Fi. The staff were exceptionally polite, welcoming, and quick to assist with any requests. They serve lovely breakfast buffet as well with good selections, the ampalaya salad was my favourite. The hotel has a pool, a gym and on site spa that offers affordable rates. A major highlight for me was the amazing room service Sampaguita full body signature massage provided by the hotel spa staff. I slept like a baby after a long flight from the UK. I'd definitely recommend, both the massage and the hotel for anyone who would like a hassle-free base in Mactan.

I stayed in the Junior suite, and it was smaller than the pics showed, but still good since it was just me. The beach is really not the best and you have to walk a bit to get there. The pool was really nice, but also a walk to get there. Overall i would rate the hotel at a 3+ out of 5. The rooms also need to be freshened up a bit.

Of four hotels on this trip, the Savoy Mactan was the only one without a single major issue. The staff is the standout: warm, helpful, and proactive. When my chiller unit wasn't cooling properly, they replaced it immediately. Note: it's a chiller, not a full refrigerator, and there's no iron or ironing board in the room. Otherwise, the room is well-equipped with modern appliances and a proper smart TV with all the major apps. Location is a genuine plus. You're steps from restaurants, cafes, bars, groceries, laundry, a gym, and the beach, with much of it accessible within the hotel itself. Mactan's weather is also a welcome contrast to Manila's oppressive heat; expect mild temps and a consistent ocean breeze. The surrounding area is vibrant and stays lively late into the night. I'd stay here again without hesitation for anyone wanting a relaxed, hassle-free trip with great service.
