Landsberg Am Lech

Visiting this popular part of the country can be not only relaxing, but an adventure too; so be sure to take a road trip and check out a couple of the other cool villages, towns and cities dotted around Landsberg Am Lech. Salgen, lays 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the east, and Fuerstenfeldbruck can be found 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the southwest.

Augsburg, is another good spot to visit. It is approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Landsberg Am Lech and offers a diverse range of things to do and see, for example Augsburg Cathedral, St. Ulrich's Church and Augsburg Town Hall. Rosenaustadion, Golf Augsburg and Marionette Theater are just a handful of the other interesting attractions on offer here.

Sample a little culture, learning and lore amid the great outdoors at Bavaria's fabulous gardens. Every destination has a fascinating history and the Bavaria area has its own stories to tell. The historic mansions here are particularly interesting.

This area has a number of places for swimming, so ensure you leave room in your schedule to fit it in. Surfing is another watersport here. Head outdoors and get amongst it in Bavaria. Try your hand at rock climbing or give hiking a go.
