"We enjoyed our 4 nights stay. Staff were friendly and we got our room cleaned everyday which is a luxury since many hotels don't provide daily house keeping anymore.
Room is very spacious, beds are comfortable enough. Not great but we have had worse.
Love the location since it's in the middle of the park. However, there isn't much to see within walking distance.
There are a few dining options which we found convenient. Food options are ok, nothing fancy but get the job done. The diner was our favorite place. Food was great and servers were very friendly.
If we are to do it all over again, we will stay here again but not for 4 nights. We will stay at either Yellowstone River or Old Faithful for a couple of nights to reduce the amount of driving."
"Very peaceful setting away from the crowds yet right outside YNP NE gate. It was nice to be so close to Lamar Valley and the cabin provided a wonderful place to come back to after exploring the park each day."
Entire Cabin at Woody Falls Trailhead in Cooke City
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and very nice cabin. Easy access back into Yellowstone. Cam was a great host. He even dried our laundry when the cabin dryer was on the fritz. A sow grizzly and two cubs walked past the cabin as we watched… from inside. Only drawback was a bit difficult to locate without internet for maps, but Cam had sent lat/long in advance and was able to use my OnX app."
"Never mentioned in original post that we would be sharing the home with 2 other sets of guests in separate parts of the home. There were several repairs that need to be addressed in the home. The owners were very quick to respond and overall a good stay."
"Clean, comfortable, marvelously situated. We had three moose show up in the property while we were there! The bathroom was phenomenal as well, with excellent water pressure and hot water."
"Cute, clean room with the most comfortable bed!
We really enjoyed the quaint, cabin style room. It's small er but what we were expecting. They had a fire built in the fire pit in the common area.
This area is quiet and away from crowds. Food is found up the road in Cooke City and we enjoyed it last year however this year we just used what we had brought with us. We went that way before so knew exactly what to expect. The restaurants close around 8. We love it in Silver Gate and Cooke City. It is more remote and it's beautiful."
"There aren't too many great hotels in Cooke City, and this one was just fine but do expect it to be dated without many amenities. Adding coffee in the morning and a fridge/microwave to the rooms would go a long way. There is wifi and it worked well for us but I've heard this can be spotty."
