Now is the time to plan your spring and summer trips to Lake Tahoe-beautiful place to visit every season. If you don't want to deal with the crowds book midweek, discounts are in place. The Lazy Bear's Den is designed with relaxation in mind. Set up for 2 couples or a small family this spot is the perfect retreat. Come play in the snow, relax or if you have to work WIFI is provided. Spacious fenced yard is such a great place to play. The location is wonderful: less than 4 miles to Heavenly Ski Resort, the village with shopping and dining, If Sierra At Tahoe is your skiing choice it is approximately 15 miles away. In the summer time the Lake is close, depending on which is your favorite beach. As you enter the cabin you will immediately notice all the custom wood details, the living area with comfy leather couch and chairs is focused on the gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Adjacent to the living area is the dining room. The kitchen is set up for the family chef to prepare a feast, there are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, serving items. There is a slider to the spacious and fenced backyard-perfect for summer bbqs. There is an additional space off the living area with a couch and a TV-a great space for the kids to play. This room does have a futon if you need an extra spot to sleep. There is a full bath (shower stall only) that is shared by both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 1/2 bath attached. The master also has access to the backyard. The backyard has a Gas BBq, picnic table and chairs. Maximum Occupancy is 4, in beds the home sleeps 4, plus the futon. Children 5 and under are not counted. Occupancy Rules are in place at all times. Bedroom 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 2 Cal King Bed, slider to backyard, private 1/2 bath 1 half Bath Home Does Not Have AC No pets allowed-owners are severely allergic. Quiet Hours Must Be Observed Between 10:00pm-8:00am Note for all reservations: While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay. Parking is tight, 2 smaller vehicles will fit easily, if you are driving large trucks or SUVs they may not both fit. Street parking or dirt parking is not allowed. El Dorado County VHR permit # 073850 TOT# 64800 When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. This cabin is very cute - well stocked - and on a quite street not far from the frenzy of South Lake Tahoe. I say an understatement because they say they have a microwave and toaster. Well, they have EVERYTHING! Brand new BBQ, shower with jets, kitchen utensils (all sorts of them), a Keurig and regular coffee maker, washer & dryer, iron and small ironing board, outdoor picnic table and chairs, flat screen TV, and the cutest bear decorations around the cabin. And, even more! Really worth the price and we were quite pleased! ##### Mary C. The backyard is huge! Family room was great for the kids, stocked with toys and games. I didn’t realize most Tahoe homes didn’t have AC. That was a bummer because it was very warm during our stay. Michelle, the property manager, was amazing. Very responsive and supportive. The 2nd bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. It’s in bad shape. All was as described. Michelle was great, accommodating our requests for a slight schedule change and for an early check-in, promptly providing a hair dryer when informed there had been none (we left it in the master bath vanity), and generally being on top of everything and immediately responsive. Thank you again Michelle! Our only critique was that several of the lights flicker, perhaps due to bulbs or lighting fixtures being incompatible with dimmer switches. But otherwise all was terrific. In particular, the heated floor in the master bath is a very nice touch! Thanks again. ##### Steven W. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice, spacious house. We didn't find anything missing that we expected to have. There were nice plush towels and comfortable beds. There was a small assortment of kids games/toys and lawn darts/cornhole games outside. From what we could tell, the garage was not accessible to guests--not an issue in the summer but maybe with snow in winter. Everything is a drive from the house but there is a lot to explore within short driving distances. South Lake Tahoe is definitely more of a regular town feel as compared to the more touristy north side Kings Beach where we also stayed. Only additions we would recommend are more lighting around dining table and addition of umbrella and/or beach chairs for summer guest use. There were four nice beach towels provided. ##### Brita B. It has a great layout; it includes a second family room complete with toys and games for kids. The backyard is welcoming and quiet. Kitchen has a thoughtful assortment of utensils and equipment (cast iron pans are in the pantry!). The TV has HBO. The neighborhood is very quiet and scenic. The Bad: This house wasn't as secluded as it appears in the photo, which caused a problem for me as I like to have a lot of natural lighting but the windows looked out onto neighbors. The lighting provided drove me nuts, especially in the living and dining room as there are no direct overhead lights. Many of the windows are difficult to open and close. Thankfully, there were three standing fans and multiple ceiling fans provided for cooling. Bring your own coffee and/or tea- the Keurig pods tasted terrible! The Surprising: I saw a bear outside multiple times on the last night that I was here. The night before, I had left one of the back doors open for ventilation (with the screen door shut). I am really glad the bear didn't visit that night and that I had taken out my trash and anything smelly from my car when I arrived. ##### Jennifer W.
