We are expecting a great winter season, book your ski trip now. Centrally located between Heavenly Ski Resort and Sierra At Tahoe. The Golden Bear Tahoe home is well set up for family vacations, a chance to get away to Lake Tahoe and relax. Furnishings and appliances were all updated in 2021.The home features upstairs living to enjoy the views of acres of forest across the street. Upstairs you will find the spacious living room with comfortable couch and flat screen TV. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen and dining area. The primary suite is on the upper level also. The front deck is a great spot to have your morning coffee and plan the day’s adventures. The living area also includes an air hockey game and foosball. The deck off the dining area has patio furniture (in season) and a propane BBQ. The lower level includes a family room with smart tv and 3 bedrooms and a full bath. The access to the fenced backyard and hot tub is off the family room. The family room has a Mortal Kombat arcade style game and 1 fast and furious game (video games recently refreshed/repaired) The Golden Bear Trail neighborhood is conveniently located off of Pioneer Trail, it is an easy drive to Heavenly Ski Resort, The Heavenly Village at Stateline and Tahoe beaches and hiking trails. Immediately across the street from this home you can access acres of open forest great for long walks, or snow shoes or cross country skis in the winter. The upper level includes: Living Room with lots of comfortable seating, gas fireplace and smart TV Dining Room Fully equipped kitchen Half Bath Primary Bedroom: Private bath with separate tub and shower, CAL King Bed and smart TV Entry or lower level: Family Room with full pullout, flat screen, access to backyard and hot tub Full downstairs Bath with tub/shower combo and 2 sinks Bedroom 2: Bunk Bed that is full on the bottom, single on top, TV Bedroom 3: Queen Bed, TV Bedroom 4: Queen Bed, TV Laundry Room Cable and streaming available on all 6 televisions Parties/Weddings/Bachelor or Bachelorette parties not allowed. El Dorado County noise ordinances will be enforced, neighbors do live here full time and request a peaceful and quiet enjoyment of the home. While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay. When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. The one negative was the one rude and hostile neighbor. At 7:20pm when we were just sitting in the hot tub and playing corn hole (all adults no loud children) he stood up over the fence, immediately started cursing to “shut the &@&!? Up” and threatened to call the police. It put a damper on our evening and was disappointing way to end our weekend. One small thing was the master bathroom toilet ran all night long. The jigsaw puzzle on the kitchen table was a huge hit. All of us spent time fitting pieces together. We didn't even think about turning on the tv all weekend. We took advantage of the outside table and chairs for all meals. It was a quiet location, the house was spotless and several of us took advantage of the woods across the street for walks or jogs. Kitchen has no coffee maker just a keureg. Larger pots and pans for cooking larger amounts of food for a larger crowd would be better. This home max Capacity is 10 but cooking for 10 is tough with small cookware. We were not able to figure out turning on all the kitchen lights and there were light switches EVERYWHERE! The neighbor on the joining back side of the home called the sheriff on us at 5pm stating we were to loud. We were unable to enjoy the rest of our stay as a result worried that if called again, the sheriff would come back out and we would be fined $1000 for the noise complaint. As a group we have stayed in multiple homes in south lake tahoe and have never experienced this! ##### Christopher S. Reviewer Comments: The rental was clean with new furniture and appliances. We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the home was ready to rent. It was the hottest weekend in Lake Tahoe and with no AC it was very uncomfortable. Some windows and sliders didn’t have screens so we couldn’t open toLet air in.
