"We rented the cottage for March Break. We are a family of 4 and it was perfect. Exactly as shown in the photos. The sauna was wonderful and the hot tub was great! The pool table was fun and helped to break up quiet days. The heated floors made it extra luxurious. Easy to run into town for groceries. Jason, our host was super nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend! I can only imagine how great this cottage would be in the summer! "

"Poor communication and disappointing experienceUnfortunately, our experience with this booking was not positive. After reserving the property, we encountered an issue and tried to contact both the host and Vrbo right away. Communication from the host was unhelpful and we never received check-in or access instructions. In the end, we were unable to stay at the property and were disappointed by the lack of flexibility and support."

"Overall stay was good. Beds were nice, they have one room with 1 queen, second room with 2 twin beds and one sofa bed in the TV room. Speaking of the TV, the photos might be showing there is one but that's just for decoration as per the host. Water is not drinkable, so need to arrange it ourselves. There was vomit behind toilet seat in powder room when we checked in. Rest of the cabin was clean. The door for backyard deck did not have working locks nor did it have working grill."

"The location is perfect, peaceful with great views, close to downtown. The cottage has spacious rooms. The only drawback - cleanliness. The bathroom was not cleaned appropriately, with some leftovers and hair. No soap, shampoo or some other necessary stuff. Would say not good value for money. Pretty pricey for such conditions."

"The property is beautiful, on an idyllic inlet. However, there were cleanliness and upkeep issues that made me feel like we had seriously overpaid for our stay, including but not limited to:1. The kitchen was dirty (dirt smeared on the cupboards, full coffee filter, a filthy apron stuffed in a cupboard) and not restocked (e.g., no tea towels or dish cloths)2. Wood rot on the back deck and dock including at least one large hole on the dock hidden under a chair. This frankly is a safety hazard.3. The laundry room was in disarray, sheets everywhere and the washer/dryer pulled out from the wall. 4. The basement sofabed was so bent we couldn't use itTo his credit, when I emailed Alvaro he replied the next day and offered to send cleaners. However, he asked that I send him photos before he do this (surprisingly difficult to do on the VRBO app). By the time this had been sorted out the trip was over. RE the structural damage, Alvaro said he knew about the holes in the dock (but did not warn us about them). He said he didn't know about the bent sofabed. This all leads me to believe that the property is not being inspected for general wear and tear and damage isn't being repaired in a timely way.I would overlook most of these issues if we hadn't paid so much. I did price comparisons in the region and there are better managed options available for a comparable price. Before committing to staying I recommend confirming that these problems are addressed. "
