There are places to eat along that route including a small grocery market. The drive is brief to downtown La Jolla as well as to other fun spots like Birch Aquarium, UCSD, and Torrey Pines. The drive to San Diego wasn’t bad, maybe 25 minutes. The property is in a quiet neighborhood (other than minor road noise). The house was clean, the beds comfortable, and good water temperatures. The kitchen was stocked with basics (we missed a muffin pan and coffee grinder). The third floor might need a water pump for higher pressure. La Jolla Shores is much better location for our family compared to other alternatives in San Diego area. The property is very conveniently located close to the main restaurants/shops in the La Jolla cove area, but quiet and less rowdy than areas near the park. We like to be close to activities, but not in the heart of ware zone. Convenient and very walkable for our extended family including our 75 year old mother/grandmother. The property is a newer home with new appliances and décor. Slept 6 comfortably with 3 showers which was perfect.
