The location is excellent--we loved sitting on the porch watching the ocean which is just across the street. We even saw sea lions playing in the surf. It was an easy walk to LaJolla restaurants and attractions. There are tidepools directly across the street that our family enjoyed checking out.The layout of the home was great for our family with the 3 beds and 2 baths. We also appreciated the private backyard and hot tub. The hot tub was a bit cloudy, but the management company was very quick to respond and address the situation. The parking situation (which is noted in the listing) was a little tough--we had rented a minivan, which was a bit long for the driveway, so we were able to either park diagonally or use street parking. Street parking was decent most times of day. The management company was excellent at communication, and gave us clear check in and out instructions, manuals for appliances, etc. The home itself had all of the things we needed like beach chairs, towels, a coffee machine, etc. A few things in the house could use some attention, like faded curtains and a saggy mattress in the primary bedroom, but they weren't a big deal. Charming cottage with amazing view. Sitting on the front porch watching surfers, sea lions and dolphins was the highlight. The backyard was cozy and comfortable. Easy to walk to town and meals. Easy check in process and very comfortable sleeping (how can you not sleep well with the sounds of the ocean waves). The cottage is well stocked with kitchen supplies, bedding and towels. The rental agency was easy and friendly to work with. We will definitely stay here again (and again). Don’t hesitate booking this cottage…do it. You won’t regret it. ##### Michele P. Convenient for walking everywhere and easy access to the water. Only gripe was that the garage was not available & the hot tub was not functioning.
