What a perfect place to nest while we enjoyed the beaches and other attractions in the area! The studio apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The neighborhood was quiet while also being close to great restaurants and shops and there was easy parking right in front. When I did need to contact the host with a question, she was incredibly responsive and helpful even though she was on her own vacation at the time. We will absolutely stay here again on our next trip to San Diego/La Jolla!

It was so nice to return to this quiet, calm neighborhood after being out in the crowds! Super comfortable bed made sleeping easy. And it is a short walk to restaurants and coffee shops. (The coffee supplied was really good!). We were there visiting our granddaughter at UCSD which is just a short trip away and avoids freeways.

The stay at the cottage by the sea was 5/5 due to the incredible hosts and to be within the Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla for this price point. If you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing side of La Jolla with quick access to the rest of San Diego, you’ll want to stay here. It’s cozy, above a garage, and while not a 5 star hotel, it was a 5 star experience. Will certainly stay here again next time we’re in San Diego!

Great spot

This was a great spot in a perfect location for our brief stay in La Jolla. The bed was surprisingly comfy, the croissants at the nearby bakery were wonderful, and having bikes available to use was a huge plus. Thank you, Marty, for a great stay.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole room and setup were just right. The bottle of wine was a nice extra. I appreciated all the little extras provided, to compensate for some items we forgot to pack. I would absolutely stay there again.
