We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Cambis in Avignon. Very easy taxi ride from the train station. Very convenient location of the hotel to everything there is to see in the old town walled city. Tons of restaurants and shopping all around. The Palace of the Popes is a 6 minute walk. Our room was large enough to feel like we could unpack a bit and move around compared to our hotel in Paris. There was a nice size bathroom with large shower and a very comfortable bed. There was not a mini fridge in the room and they gave us one bottle of water. They did leave us a free shopping bag and some cookies. Which was a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel highly.
