Patatran Village is a must on La Digue

We loved our stay at Patatran Village. The staff were so friendly and helpful making us feel so welcome. The beaches on either side of the property were beautiful and had excellent snorkeling. We felt that this hotel was on the best part of the island. We had breakfast and dinner on the property each day of our stay and it was always excellent. Our room was clean, had air conditioning and a beautiful view of the ocean. We cannot wait to go back!

Toller Abschluss einer wundervollen Reise

Am Ende unseres Seychellen-Trips verbrachten wir 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Unser Zimmer befand sich im Haupthaus, mit Blick aufs Meer und einem sehr grossen Balkon. Dieser Teil ist zwar nicht ganz modern, dafür sehr sauber, wunderschön gelgen und geräumig. Das Personal war überdurchschnittlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen mundete uns sehr - und dies erst noch zu sehr fairen Preisen. Allgemein herrschte eine familiäre Atmospähre. Unsere Fähre legte am Abreisetag erst um 17.00 Uhr ab - wir durften das Zimmer bis 16.30 Uhr gratis benutzen - das ist ganz und gar nicht selbstverständlich - Danke nochmals. Einzige, negative Punkte: Strandtücher etwas klein, Liegen am eher kleinen Pool etwas knapp und teilweise defekt. Doch wer deswegen auf die Seychellen reist, ist eh fehl am Platz.

Bardzo warto!

Przepięknie położony hotel, chyba najładniej na całej wyspie. Widok na morze obłędny. Bardzo miła obsługa. Przyzwoite śniadania (chociaż wszystkiego dość mało). Dobre kolacje z karty, porównując z innymi restauracjami na wyspie przyzwoite cenowo. Zdecydowanie warto tam przyjechać. Straszliwie zdezelowane rowery - powinni mieć tyle przyzwoitości żeby nie kasować za ich wypożyczenie - niestety kasują.

En voi suositella hotellia. Huoneet ovat todella vanhahtavat ja epämukavat. Huoneessani oli erittäin huono ilmanlaatu. Yleisiin tiloihin oli yritetty panostaa, mutta koska toteutus oli heikkoa niin kukaan ei käyttänyt hotellin alueita laisinkaan. Uima-allas alue on ala-arvoinen. Majoitukseni sisälsi aamupalan ja illallisen. Aamupalalla ruoka usein loppu ja illallisella tuntui siltä että samaa ruokaa syötiin päivästä toiseen. Lisäksi kalaruokien kanssa kannattaa olla varovainen sillä niistä löytyy suuria ruotoja.

Absolute gem!

Absolutely perfect hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Friendly staff and amazing situation made this the perfect get away. Far enough away from the centre of La Digue to feel disconnected, but close enough to walk/ride.

sehr schönes, möglicherweise das beste Hotel auf La Digue. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und haben ein Upgrade auf die Captain’s Suite erhalten. Die Aussicht unseres Zimmers und Lage des Hotels waren grandios. Das Frühstück war durchschnittlich, das Abendessen war gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Würde jederzeit wieder buchen.

Schöne Anlage an schöner Bucht.

Das Hotel liegt ganz im Norden von La Digue, etwas ausserhalb vom Hauptort. Mit dem Fahrrad, mit dem hier jeder fährt, ist man aber schnell im Zentrum. Fahrräder vermietet auch das Hotel, allerdings sind diese in keinem guten Zustand. Direkt am Hotel ist eine schöne Bucht mit einem kleinen Strand. Wir haben hier auch geschnorchelt. Leider befinden sich die Bungalows alle an einem Hang. Was den Aufenthalt ein wenig beschwerlich macht. Die Bungalows sind sehr gerräumig. Leider gibt es nur eine Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer. Dadurch können die restlichen Räume eigentlich kaum genutzt werden. Das Frühstück war gut und abwechslungsreich. Das Abendessen hat uns auch immer geschmeckt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel empfehlen.

Nice staff.Hotel beach is good for snorkeling only

Staff were very friendly and approachable. Asis who works in the hotel restaurant was very attentive and smily :) The two small pillows in the room had hairs on them. I wonder if they were changed. Also hairs in the toilet floor. Besides that, the room was of sea view and was very nice. Sea by the hotel is only good for snorkeling coz of all the stones in it.

Hotel with great views

Hotel is nice and the location is amazing, maybe the best on the island. However the hotel treats guests differently according to the type of accommodation they have booked and tend to charge for every amenity (deposit requested for towels, cappuccino is charged on the breakfast, no complimentary water, etc). The hotel also offers transfers to the ferry or for diners at the restaurant but if you are an ordinary guest, you cannot use it even if you pay for it.

Meilleur emplacement à La Digue

Nous revenons de 3 jours au Patatran. Certes l'hôtel est un peu vieillissant, mais l'accueil est au top de la part du personnel à l'arrivée (serviette rafraichissante et verre de bienvenue. La vue des bungalows est magnifique, ils donnent tous sur la mer. La plage de l'hôtel est l'une des plus belle de la digue. La nourriture est très bien. La piscine est largement suffisante. Le personnel de l'hôtel est au petit soin. Un petit reproche concernant la clim qui ne rafraichit pas assez.

Best Hotel On La Digue

Patatran Hotel is really a very good hotel with the best staff ever. Lindy who is in charge, is one of the friendliest person you can meet We stayed her 2014 and came back January 2016 and many of the staff remember us. Next to the hotel you will find a small beach witch feels like your own. For our two weeks this was the absolute highlight.

Kauniilla paikalla. Kaikissa huoneissa oma rauha ja näkymä merelle. Päärakennus ehkä vähän nuhjuinen. Toisaalta allas ja ranta hienot. Talviaikaan tuulee luoteesta, joten ranta ainakin silloin tuulinen. Hotellin kautta pystyi helposti vuokraamaan pyörän ja ostamaan kohtuullisen hintaisen snorklausretken. Wlania alueelta ei löydy.

Wunderschöne Aussicht

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer, mit herrlicher Aussicht, das einzige was vielleicht als störend empfunden werden kann sind die Geckos, die manchmal auch im Zimmer oder Bad auftauchen können, da die Türen und Fenster nicht dicht sind. Die Villen liegen auf Hügeln und man sollte nichts gegen Treppensteigen haben. Man muss zum Frühstück ins Hauptgebäude laufen, wo auch die Lobby und ein Restaurant sich befindet. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr lecker, man bekommt vom Koch auf Wunsch immer frisches Omelett oder Crepes zubereitet. Der Ausblick vom Frühstücksraum ist fantastisch, man blickt auf den indischen Ozean und auf die Nachbarinseln von La Digue. Man kann auch ein Fahrrad direkt am Hotel mieten und der Strand "Anse Parates" ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Die anderen Strände wie "Grand Anse" oder "Petit Anse" sind weit entfernt, genauso wie "Anse Source d'Argent". Man kann zu Fuß in nur 25 Minuten im sogenannten Zentrum der Insel ankommen, wo es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. Sollte ich La Digue wieder besuchen, würde ich wieder hier wohnen, weil ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt habe und die Aussicht einfach unbezahlbar ist!
