The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and you have to walk up a hill to come back; even taxis don’t enter the street, so it’s very cumbersome to enter and leave it (specially with heavy bags). The hotel house was newly opened this May, all the equipments are new and very high-class. The staff speak a little English, but are super friendly and nice. Also the house is very close to Kyōto no kiyomizudera, and other tourist places. A little hard to find the place the first time, better locate it by Hotel Ryozan if you take a taxi.
