Loved the location. Walking distance to Higashiyama and Gion District. But on the quieter side of the river. Had a very pretty canal running in front to walk along while leaving or returning to guest house. Lots of restaurants and bars around. Specific instructions to find it from hosts. The only downfall was the uncomfortable bed and pillow. Quite hard and difficult to sleep on. Made it difficult to get a good rest after big days.
