The property seems to be very fragile. You can hear all the noise around the street. Even when the next door people slide their door. Cannot sleep properly. The house is awesome with tatami floors, futon beds and most of all, the beautiful small private garden! It was nice to start our days with breakfast following how the flowers were growing day by day during our five nights visit. The owner, Rika is most helpful and friendly. She gave us many advice for good restaurants and was ready to help us whenever we needed. It is such a great experience for us to understand the traditional living style and culture of Kyoto. Korakuan is well maintained and we feel very comfortable with the facilities provided. A map of the nearby area, train/JR stations and a list of restaurant are well prepared by the owner. We tried the public bath and some restaurants recommended which are good. Best of all , Ms Rika , the owner is very nice and helpful. She attended to all our request immediately and was a great help to us during our stay. Thank you Rika.
