Beautiful Sea View

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Pros: Room was clean and the sheets were replaced in time.
Cons: Poor staff service, we waited for more than six hours to get a room. For parking my vehicle I was told to pay R200 which is refundable when checking out which I did get. I was told that money is not refundable.
Location: Casino, Moses Mabida Stadium and shopping at The Workshop

Schönes Hotel direkt an der Promenade

Posted 21-Sep-2016

Good stay

Posted 21-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: AC
Location: Stadium, casino, shopping, restaurants all within a 5 minute walk.
Hotel is very well placed near the beach and sun coast. We had a great time. There was some construction work being done but didn't mind so much. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable.

noisy staff and sleepless nights

Posted 14-Sep-2016
The beds, bath rooms are unimpressive. There bath room is dirty and shower is funny. The staff talk loudly early in the morning and the doors and windows can barely contain the sound from outside. The front desk is good and very informative. Breakfast is okay but the breakfast area is so congested that people drop their plates colliding with each other.

Hotel decepcionante

Posted 19-Aug-2016

Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Goed ontbijt. Badkamer ruim voorzien van toiletartikelen, inclusief anti-muggenmelk. Personeel heel behulpzaam. Ligt aan de strandboulevard.

Bad. Very bad.

This hotel is well-situated on the beach, and the room is good, as is the breakfast. Most of the staff was very nice and helpful. My biggest problem with this hotel is there failure to care about WIFI. The hotel clearly indicates free WIFI on all hotel sites. And yet it was useless. Some of the staff knew it was useless and said so. Others tried to dance around this fact, and suggest it was my computer. Like many hotels I have stayed at in South Africa, the staff just does not care when you have a complaint. It is irrelevant to them that you are 10,000 miles from home, need internet access to book your travel, among other things, and are simply asking to receive what was advertised and what you have already paid for. This hotel clearly does not care about its guests. It is a 4-Star hotel, and the internet is useless. And it is also way overpriced.

One night at the Belaire

Posted 25-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Continental Breakfast was fabulous, the room was very clean. A little noisy because the floors were hardwood and the noise from the adjoins room with a passage door between both rooms allowed the noise to come through as if it were open. The Windows on the back side would not allow them to close well enough to soften the noise from passerbye foot traffic. Everything else was top notch.
