Great little hotel

The hotel is great place to stay on Jalan Alor which is a street full of open air restaurants and stalls.Staff are helpful rooms are clean but the hotel restaurant and staff there need plenty of improvement

Good location, big room, poor breakfast

The hotel is in a busy area in KL, full of restaurants and shops. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast could have more options of fruit and bread. The attendance is polite and efficient.

The room was clean. Staff was prompt when called. A lot a local activity outside the hotel doors. The room was very basic, no where near as elaborate as the advertisement photo. There was a leak under the bathroom sink.

Don't let the exterior of the building and common areas fool you. The room is as good as any North American average hotel room. Parking can be a pain due to the location right off the busiest park of Jalan Alor. For the convenient location, the clean and maintained room, and the friendly staff, this hotel is a great value.

The facilities were good, and the location was great, although difficult for vehicles to come in during the evening because of the street closure (street food) on Jalan Alor. Amenities were wanting, breakfast was ok but not good.

A Lor is an excellent location with lots of eating options. Staff are very friendly, room was very clean. The only down turn was, there’s no tooth brush and body lotion provided as the hotel advertise “free toiletries”, we needed to call the housekeeping and we only got it once on the first day that we requested it, provided we stayed there for 3 days.

1. Rooms -- Our room faced the Jalan Alor Food Street but it was surprisingly very quiet. Soundproofing must be good. We were however not impressed with the poor room state when we arrived at night – the kettle and glass water jug still had water in them from the previous guest, the soap bottle was empty, and the shower wasn't properly cleaned. The shower flooded after 1 use and we had to soak our feet in dirty water from the drains. I would expect better from the Accor brand. We had to wait until the next day for the drain to be cleaned which wasn't ideal. After we submitted the complaint to the front desk, the issues were addressed the following day which put us more at ease. 2. Location -- Location is good and bad – the hotel is on the same street as Jalan Alor Food Street, which makes it almost impossible for taxis to drop us off right at the front of the property. Even walking back to the hotel in the evening can be a mission with food stall shopkeepers calling out and trying to get you into their restaurants. It's good in that you have quick access to a lot of food options but bad in that hotel accessibility is compromised for both cars and walking on foot. 3. Food/drinks -- Filtered water station is available on the room floor. 4. Hotel amenities -- I was also shocked that Ibis doesn't provide a hair dryer for each room – we were told we would need to borrow one and return it to the front desk after each use as they had a limited number available.

The room was very run-down. The bathroom, in particular, was not clean; it felt very grimy. The towels were not clean. The floor (hardwood) was dirty. We kept having to ask for toilet paper. The TV had a bad reception for local channels and offered no streaming services. Good location for food, if you're after street food from Jalan Alor, otherwise-- stay elsewhere.

My Dad was very ill. We contacted expedia to see if we could get a refund as we had to change our bookings. We got a text through to say that they would kindly refund the stay-great. Later we got an email to say that it would not get refunded.

No the breakfast was terrible. Little options and many inedible stale offerings. The croissants must have been at least 6 days old— just crazy. No fresh tea. No teabags available despite my request— just appalling tea out of a machine that was not drinkable. Only on one day was one fresh fruit offering available. Just a waste of money.
