"Ukena" Vacation Apartment - A Majestic Stay at the Harlem House

The Ukena holiday rental is located on the ground floor of the historic Harlem House in the heart of Greetsiel—a historic landmark dating from the late 18th century that was built on the foundations of the former Greetsiel Castle. Those who stay here experience history not as a backdrop, but as a living space.

The centrepiece of the apartment is the spacious, stately living and dining room. High ceilings, large historic windows spanning nearly the entire length of the room, and an extraordinary abundance of light characterise this space. The apartment is furnished with original, historically preserved pieces: solid wood cabinets, large tables, and stylish chairs lend the space a stately, dignified atmosphere—open, serene, and bathed in light.

The separate kitchen provides a deliberate contrast: modern, new, and fully equipped, with its own dining area. It offers contemporary comfort without detracting from the apartment’s historic character.

Another highlight is the exceptionally large bathroom with a walk-in shower and double sinks, which offers plenty of space and comfort—ideal even for extended stays.

The bedrooms are arranged side by side. From the living and dining room, you first enter a smaller bedroom with a bed approximately 120 cm wide. From there, the path leads to the master bedroom with a 160-cm-wide double bed and an additional double vanity. This floor plan is particularly well-suited for couples, small families, or guests who appreciate a shared living experience.

Despite the quiet, dignified atmosphere, you’ll be staying right in the heart of Greetsiel. The harbour, restaurants, cafés, and small shops are just a few steps away and easily accessible on foot.

The Ukena holiday rental is designed for guests seeking something special: spacious rooms, historic character, original furnishings—and a willingness to immerse themselves in a place steeped in history.
