Do NOT stay here
I had paid for a 4 night stay, but due to my experience, I was forced to leave after the second night. My first room was filled with bugs, mosquitos and ants. The hotel's solution was to spray large amounts of bug spray throughout the room, which affected my breathing and did not solve the problem. The hotel first tried to blame the ants on the flowers given to me by the hotel. I was then transferred to another room. I was actually downgraded from an ocean view to a garden view without any reimbursement. Throughout the ENTIRE night I was bitten by mosquitoes. I then addressed this issue with the general manager, Danny, who told me that I should expect mosquitos due to the location of the hotel (even in the actual bedroom). I then return to my room to find that the bathroom was filled with ants. I addressed it with the cleaning staff and they cleaned my room a second time. Again, the hotel staff chose to spray large amounts of bug spray to resolve the issue of mosquitos and bug spray. At this point, I addressed the issue of the room with the general manager, Danny. I advised him that I did not feel comfortable in the room due to the amount of bugs and mosquiotos in the room and that the large amounts of bug spray sprayed in the room affected my breathing. The general manager, Danny, responded that the hotel policy is not give refunds. I then returned to my room to find ants inside my luggage. At this point, I left the hotel and went elsewhere. The hotel refused to reimburse!

We thank you for staying with us. However, we wish to clarify the 2 issues mentioned: Ants and Mosquitoes. The Pool villa room we checked you into is one of 4 Pool villas with sea view and those tiny little ants were attracted by the sweet fragrance from the Welcome hand garland which you left in the room. We moved you to another Pool Villa nearby which do not have a sea view but facing garden and lotus pond view instead. Both villa type are of the same price, we did Not downgrade you as you claimed. The next day, you informed our staff about mosquitoes in your room affecting your sleep. We offered to move you to another Pool Villa but you decline. The reason for mosquitoes getting into your bedroom room could be due to the door to the Outdoor Shower or Sliding glass door beside the plunge pool are not properly closed. In the hotel guide book, we remind guest to be careful to close all doors properly as our boutique resort is designed with a garden setting with its flora and fauna attracting insects such as butterflies, bees, ants, mosquitoes, lizards being part of the environment. However we are sorry to hear that you have some inconvenience but those matters were resolve soon after you informed us.
Lastly, your caption ‘Do NOT stay here’ is totally unfair to our hotel and uncalled for. We shall leave this to Expedia readers to make their own judgement.
