I arrived on an earlier flight than planned and had to wait a few moments for the host to bring the key but was nicely accommodated by a colleague. Great and central location in the Fisherman's Village. Perfect for young people wanting to explore the town. Non fate affidamento sulle spiagge a ridosso del Village: ce ne sono di ben migliori e comunque l'isola va visitata per scovarne le bellezze più autentiche. Ho avuto inoltre la fortuna di capitare lì il venerdì, giornata in cui si tiene un vasto mercato notturno (dalle 17.00 alle 23.00 circa) che vede accorrere turisti e non da tutta Samui. Il proprietario mi ha consigliato un onesto affitta motorini (cosa non scontata a leggere esperienze varie a riguardo). Rispetto alla media degli hotel di categoria simile, decisamente una spanna sopra. The room is fairly rustic, but most charming, and it does have airconditioning, a TV, a room safe, and a little fridge. I found the bed comfortable and there was warm water in the shower. I wasn't able to open the door to the balcony, but as it was the hot season didn't really need it. On the downside, I had chosen this place partly because there are so few rooms that I had hoped the owners (who were said by several Trip Advisor comments to be very helpful) would be able to keep an eye on me (elderly single woman) and provide advice etc. However they were rarely there due to having a newborn....I arrived at night and a friend of the owners who did not identify himself and was not particularly welcoming was there to give me the key. Also, there was no soap provided in the shower, so had to wait until the next morning to buy some. In general I was treated cordially but with little spontaneous interest in my welfare etc. and as I was alone this was a bit disappointing but hardly crucial.
